Hey Fireshoes.. hadn't noticed before that you're from Des Moines. I grew up in Iowa.. graduated from Iowa City twice.. my wife's family is still in the state, although mine has long since scattered. Interviewed in DM a couple of years ago, but we mutually agreed the fit wasn't right.. plus my ex-wife lives there, and that wasn't exactly a big draw for me and the fam. But we had a nice night in a nice suite downtown.

Yeah, it's ok. Not really a ton of stuff to do, but I keep myself entertained. BTW, my company (American TV) just anounced that they will be opening three stores in St. Louis next year, so you will have another place to get your Polk on.

    Burdette,

Where in Iowa did you live. And where is your wifes family at?
I just moved from there six months ago. Lived in Spencer for 6 years.

Is it any different than the last album?

From what I've heard, it's more of the same, or sounds like it at least. I liked the first release, but I'm not sure I'll do any more than download a couple songs to burn on this take.

I kind of see Linkin Park like Godsmack (and I LIKE Godsmack), they do have their own sound, but they still remain a one-trick-pony, and it aint' THAT good a trick. Follow?

    Cheers,

Godsmack comes out next Tuesday I think. I'll definately be getting that one. I've seen them in concert a couple of times and they friggin' rock live too.

I'm kinda sitting on the fence on this one though. I got the first one and its pretty good; but I'd like to here what some people think about this one.

Just picked up the new LP cd. It was at Wal Mart for $9.80 sooo
could not pass it up for that price. Let ya know what I think but I was NOT impressed with the new single at all. Sounded like a B-side from the first album. Will let ya know what I think but I am expecting great sound quality being LP.
MY new Cradle Of Filth cd came out today and DAM IT was not at my local cd shop.
Just bought tickets to OZZFEST in phoenix. Tickets doubled in price on EBAY in just one day. I can't freaking wait!!!!! CoF will be making there first American tour - Korn is headlining. Zack Walde and Jason Newstead will be backing Ozzy up. WILD!!!!
Also picked up Ghost Ship and Who Framed Roger Rabbit today!!!!! :D

Roger Rabbit, or Eddie Rabbit? Just wanted to make sure I read that right.

I ALMOST picked up an Eddie 45rpm single on my last trip to the used vinyl store, but just couldn't bring myself to do it. ****. ;)

I got the LP cd today but I haven't got a chance to listen to it all yet. Just about 4 or 5 tracks in the car. I really like it so far. On the down side, I was pissed because it wouldn't play in my dvd player in the HT. Probably the enhanced cd crap throwing it off. I'm going to try burning a copy and trying it then. Should bump on the LSi15's :)

Listen to the CD last night and was BLOWN AWAY. Excellent sound quality and it is deffinatly better than the first album but more like Reanimation. I listen to it in 6 channel stereo and it is sooo well recorded it sound like it was a discret sorround format.
The LP DVD-A is also the best sounding on the format - hands down. Anyway this cd will sell like crazy. The first one sold over 13 million copys and this one should beat it.
I also really enjoyed Ghost Ship last night - it was done by the same directer as 13 Ghost. Very good for the movie budget. Great soundtrack!!!!!!

    Scott,

I thought the sound quality was terrible. Maybe its my system, but I thought the quality was terrible. The songs are great, but man, it sounded so flat.

To be honest LP seems to just really come alive in my 6 channel theater. I listen to it in my car and it did sound "less active" but the bass is very solid.
It is really easy to put them in the rock rap category but they take it to a whole new level - it is much more diverse. I have heard that they are incrediable live band and that puts them even higher as a band even at a high sells level. Very creative sound. And great lyrics to boot.

I love the CD, the only complaint I can come up with is the fact the CD is only.......36 minutes long! Other than that, the sound quality, lyrics, beats, is all awesome! Great CD!

    Why I like this CD:

I need track numbers, and I need to know what makes each track you dig a "demo" track. What should someone listen for? Big bass? Cool imaging? Massive volume attack in your front stage? Clarity, detail, realism? You know, feel free to get specific and be creative. Make me WANT to hear this cool thing. Feel free to cut and paste the list of questions as many times as CDs you got to review.

Feel free to do it with the GHOST SHIP DVD as well!

    I need your input!

The DVD-Audio of Reanimation rocks, even though the songs are just kinda "good".

I am really digging this cd a lot. The songs stick with you and go through your head even if you aren't playing it. I just bought the vinyl version of it for 25 bones at circuitcity.com. I don't have a turntable yet, but I figured it would be fun to play around with them at work, even though the turntables we carry are crappy.
