I have the LSi series and I'm interested in its progress in the audio world.
Hear expert advice from Polk. Audio crossovers, bi-wiring, bi-amplified, subwoofer. How to get the best performance in Blu-ray, SACD, DVD-audio?
In my research I found this review and want to share:

    Interesting review.
I take it this was written in 2002?
It implies that the bass is a bit warm and not completely accurate.
Most of the time I enjoy these speakers greatly but there are some CD's where the bass is overwhelming and doesn't match what I have heard before with my SDA 2's.
I can't even listen to certain songs. I wasn't sure if it was just the sound engineers or something else was happening. Perhaps it is a combination of both?

    Sounds like a placement issue.

I had a similar problem at first. Disappeared, turning the LSi15.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Can we see some pic's of your setup? I would like to help you. You can clean up and totaly change the sound of your speakers with just placement. We can talk about other factors but lets start with trying to get them placed the best we can in your room limitations if you have any.

This is back when I owned the Lsi's. I read that review many times. it was a great write up and I totally respected the point of view and funny agreed with most if not all of them.

They're going to be moved soon. Right now one of them is only two feet from the wall. That might be the problem. Once I get my HT set up they will be at the end of a large room rather than on one side in the corner. I hope to finish that up within the next month or so.
