My PSW505 was just working with my Yamaha RX-V2600 receiver using Bass pre-out in the LFE unfiltered connection. I upgraded to a Pioneer SC-05 and there was no bass output regardless of the settings i used. I tried everything, front speakers: large and small, sub: yes and plus. The sub would hum if i removed the connection from the back of the receiver and touched the signal and ground points on the connector with my finger so i know the sub was working then. i tried hooking up the sub an alternate way hooking up wires from the front l/r speaker output on the receiver to the l/r signal in the amp of the sub and then the front l/r speakers were hooked up using the speaker outputs from the sub amp. front speakers worked but still no output. i sent the receiver pack to pioneer after talking to tech support and they said that the receiver needed repaired if there was no output. i hooked up the yamaha rx-v2600 again the way it was previously hooked up and confirmed to work and i got no sound from the sub. settings on the receiver didn't change. the green light comes on on the sub indicating that it is receiving signal. i checked the fuse on the amp of the sub and it is intact. touching the ground and signal on the connection of the cable does not make the sub hum anymore. what do i do? is the amp defective? should i send it back? thanks.:)

Ken has retired. I suggest that you call Polk CS directly.
