So there it is folks, I'm now a sound man for a band. It's a side thing for me as I have been a Musician all my life or since I was 9 years old. I'm perfectionist when it comes to sound so this is a natural step for me.

It's my friends band , they play out 2 to 3 times a month. I just got back and I decided to come on the board. I'm a little drunk so excuse my english or spelling or any other errors I make.

Running sound in clubs is awesome. They do a Acoustic set and I had people coming up to me saying it was the best they ever heard this band sound. All night long people talked about how damn good it sounded. I thought it really mixed well.

It's the ultimate rush to be on both sides. I'm forever dedicated to music.

I get paid. It's not a lot but it's fun. I really enjoy doing it. I'm even getting anal and panning vocals and placement of drums. My Kick drum tone is Metallica snap with awesome low end. I love it. Deep and nasty.

Glad you are having fun Dan. My 10 year old brought home a list 10 "Leadership Programs" that he can participate in school every year. They range from Computer Lab Assistant to Library Assistant to Stage Crew....

This year he picked two and one was "Sound Crew". He gets to help out with setting up the performances in the auditorium like school plays, holiday themes. He really likes that.

One my my many jobs of the late 80's - early 90's. Anywhere from 5 to 40,000 people, live and studio. It paid pretty well, considering the benefits. I've done better financially, but never had more fun. You don't need national recognition to make a living doing just 'sound' for a living. Rock on.

Our Band is Angry Vic. You can check them out on Myspace for upcoming events. They are a 80's rock and Metal band so if your into that music, they are damn good at replaying it. Not to mention I run sound so they "sound" good doing it as well.LOL:cool:
