Subs: Klipsch RW-10D and/or Mirage Omni S8

Well, it's time to accept the facts that 1) i have no business running these subs in an apartment setting, and that 2) i want bigger and better anyways.

Both have original packaging and manuals. (I think, will have to check on the manual for the Mirage) Both are in 10/10 condition in every way, and i am original owner.

Klipsch RW-10D
Favorably reviewed by myself and others on the forum (mmadden28 being notable) for HT. Lots of power, very underrated, will have no problems filling a medium sized room, and WILL shake anything in the vicinity if you have the inclination to. Digital BASH amp with an automatic soft protect mode that will just ramp the power down automatically to avoid clipping. (No, i've never tested this, my ears gave out long before the sub even thought of acting up.) With correct placement, this thing WILL go down plenty low.

Both mmadden28 and myself liked this better than the Martin Logan Dynamo, and i honestly thoroughly enjoyed it for music as well. It's fast (should be for a BASH powered 10 incher), flat, and has blended well with anything i've paired it with.

The rated 28hz is VERY conservative, depending on placement.

Mirage Omni S8
Music lovers, your sub for your office or smallish room is here! This is an 8" subwoofer with a bottom port. Yeah, it's just an 8", but don't be fooled. This thing does not have much less output than the RW-10D listed above. Bonus? It's fast as HELL. I have it paired right now with my Esprits, and if you were blindfolded, you would never be able to tell that it was a 2.1 setup. It'll dig suprisingly deep for an 8", and was my first "real" sub.

Now, keep in mind i say "smallish" room not knowing the bass "tastes" of members here. Right now it's in about a 12x16 room, and it has no problems blatantly overpowering the room if i need it to. But i don't.

Girlfriend has the camera, so no pictures right now...

But you guys have to put me out of my misery.... i just spent 2 hours getting the Klipsch dialed in, just playing and swapping it in place of the Mirage, and HOLY CRAP it sounds amazing now that it has space. Perfect timbre match with the Paradigms, and i'm listening to some old Rehab. (Guilty pleasure) Low-ish volume, i AM in an apartment, but this sub is positively dancing around the music, tight as hell and quick. No slop, no port noise, and as flat as i am!

Sure! Probably won't be able to get to it today, but definitely by tomorrow night if that's ok? I'll get the pictures up by then as well, i promise. I imagine shipping would be in the $40-$50 range. I'll let you know for sure by eod tomorrow.

Not sure. I'm not really worried about it at the moment. I don't NEED a sub in this small space. Even the Esprits generate enough bass in this place to have the cops called on me. But i was tossing around the idea of building my own, or trying to track down a Sunfire TrueSub.

But the Dayton 15" Titanic kit is also kindof calling my name.

But for the time being, if the Klipsch sells before the Mirage, i may end up keeping the Mirage. But if they both sell quick, oh well. I have other upgrades to do before i start worrying about a sub again.

Well I currently have the Polk MicroPro4000 in my family room right now, but before that I had the RW-10d. The room is prob about 18x20, cathedral ceilings, open stairs to an open hall upstairs, open to the kitchen, and it did an admirable job for such a large space. I'm likely going to put this to use in my Basement HT/Media/Game room.
