Damn, I would love to get my ears on those beasts!

I've been getting the tube itch myself. I keep remembering how sweet that Dodd ELP sounded when I had it...

I have kinda had the itch to taste some greens, but I haven't in so long they are dried. Willie Nelson can't sing, but he sure can sing. Keep in mind bigguns can't work in small areas. I have all the doors opened here. The cat musta heard me. It tried to hump my leg. I let it. Hey a little action is better than none. Tubes added so much depth that SS just can't pull off. I have a little over 1000wpc per channel working these at 2ohms, and clean. 16 mids per side just energize the room nicely. I have a vid of the cat doing the do, but after I came I licked it across the room.

Well speaking of my X you could hear her for sure. Listening to REO speed wagon. Nothing like dancing in your underwear with nobody but yourself acting like you can play the guitar. I gave two of the three neighbors my number in case I bothered them. The other is fattening my squirrels for me;) I doubt very seriously she will knock at my door. The door is always open to Polkies who visit the area. Free place to stay. I may get a Joe Dirt hair cut IDK that may be over the top for me. EF them if they can't take a joke. EF them if they can. House is rocking tonight.

Ben, what are the chances you have the specs and drawn plans for those? I swear, you could even sell the plans... But if they were free, that would be even better!

He's got a thread documenting the build somewhere... i don't know if ALL the specs are there, but it should be a start.

Price is the only way my wife would take off, and I'd back down first.

Size? Well, she has the rest of the house, but the one room where the audio is, that's mine... AS large as I wanna be... Well, as large as the wallet allows... Which isn't anything... But I can start gathering components a little at a time. If it takes years, I'll try to get this build.
    Found the thread; bookmarked it...

Ben, I'd love to hear these things, but I can tell you now, these are beautiful.

    32 mids at $48 $1536
    6 tweeters at $76 $456
    8 10" PR's at $23 $184
    6 sheets of MDF $30 $180
    That's 540lbs of MDF
    Stuffing, and dampening $70
wire, connectors, screws, and other stuff $200

    About $2600

You can do better with the silver flutes at around $30 each $960 total, but you would be inflicting property damage, and body damage with the Silver Flutes if you had the amplification to drive them.

They are actively crossed over except the upper 8 MW's have a passive XO to kill the major beaming issue I had after I moved here. Also one of the tweeters is rolled off to assist with the mid to high transition.
BTW there is a thread on these being built. I was just having a little fun with them.

Not yet. I may just go with a buffer for now if I can pull a rabbit out of my hat.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben
