Hi all,

Looking to set up a separate 2 channel rig and as the Cambridge Audio 840A ( http://www.cambridgeaudio.com/set_territory.php?TID=36&Redirect=/support_products.php?PID=292 ) will provide 200 watts RMS into 4 ohms, thought might not be a bad option. I also could get the 840E and utilise 2 channels from my Emo MPS-2 (300 into 4 ohms), but am really looking for something that can hold it's own, without the need or possible discolouration from an external amp.

Anyone tried this combo at all? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The Cambridge unit should get the job done. I believe someone else here has one, hopefully he'll chime in.

I haven't had the specific combo, but I have had Cambridge components and listened to Lsi9's for an extended period with the rig in my sig.

I think sonically it'll be a very good match, but Lsi9's are hell on an amp--I'd be careful not to push into clipping. If you like to rock real hard, you might opt for something in the 200WRMS @ 8ohm range; (which would be about 385watts @ 4ohms with a strong amp). Just my personal opinion.
