I am considering on buying these speakers. I am not near them, nor do I have a picture of back panel. What model do you think they are?

You need Adobe Reader to view.

I asked if they were 1.2TL's and the owner claims they are 1.2's. No mention of TL. So I look closer and I see that the tweeters may be RDO's.

    What do you think?

Black SL3000's That is new to me. They may just look black in the pics? They look like RDO's. If the seller can pull one of the tweeters you will know for sure. Also a model number would be nice.

They could be 1.2TL's with a 1.2 label, but they could be 1.2's that either had the TL upgrade done or simply had the SL2000's replaced with SL3000's. A look at the crossover will tell you more.

    Restanim,
Just curious what kind of a price range you are getting them for. I am going back and forth on whether or not I want to try and sell my 1.2TL's....just curious, no worries if you don't feel comfortable posting that info.

I got a picture of the rear panels. They both read SRS 1.2 6XXX. The binding posts are of the bi-amp style with a jumper wire between them. The inter connect is pin/blade. The asking price is $1250.

    What should I do?

I make real nice custom SDA IC's cheap. Your 1C IC will work if it is pin blade.
    Not a problem.

My distance to them is about 375 miles. WOW! 6 hour drive one way. Will they fit in a Dodge Grand Caravan with the seats folded down (Stow-N-Go)? I hope so.

Should I talk down the price because the interconnect cable is missing? If so, how much?

$1250 is a steal with or with out the cable. Worse case use bare wire to get you by. Not a big deal.

Actually, I believe that most people recommend that they be transported on their front if the drivers aren't removed, to protect the magnets. Someone else please verify.

Hauling on their faces makes sense, but I found it extremely hard to slide them like that because they weigh so much. I always feared the cloth ripping as you slide them into your vehicle (even with a ton of blankets and protection). I hauled theses same speakers a couple times on their backs in a nice enclosed Expedition and NEVER had any issues. Again, my ride is pretty smooth so it really worked well. It always depends how flat they are in your vehicle. Those are my thoughts of the day

When I bought my SDA SRS and SDA SRS 1.2's I used a Susuki XL7. One speaker was on it's back and the other sideways. It was the only way they would fit. I had no problems in either case. I would brake down some boxes and lay them down under the speakers. It makes it much easier to slide them in and out. I then used a funiture dolly by myself. They are big and heavy but if you take your time you can do it by yourself if you don't have any steps. If steps are involved you will need another person to help you lift them and steer them if you have a hand truck. That's a good price for those speakers if you don't mind the 6 hour ride one way. Good luck.

This is certainly the wrong way to go as this damages the domes on the tweeters.

No one here, let me repeat, no one here has ever recommended that SDA's be transported on their face. In fact, it defies all logic.

    Well fella's,
I got them home today and they look fantastick!
The label in the back reads SRS 1.2 L/R 61XX
They have the SL3000 tweeters which indicate they should be TL's.
I just need to check the crossovers to see actally what they are.
I don't know how to tell what crossovers I have. Help?
I have not hooked them up yet, cleaning is first.
