I finally had a week with two days off, so I decided to finish up the painting, mounting, and get the room set for new furniture coming in tomorrow. So, after much to do about nothing...

Mounted Plasma with added lighting

I will be ordering a Pioneer Elite SC-25 next week. I was kicking myself for returning the 07 for the deal on 6ave, which I eventually missed, but I am glad that I had to go with the updated 25 (too similiar to the 27 to pass up for the money for my needs). So after a lot of work and changes there she is. The system as is rocks for HT and gaming, which I only expect the Pioneer to improve upon. In terms of music, it keeps getting better and better. :)

The sound is perfect for me, I intended this area as mainly a HT, gaming area, and football time. The sound is very dynamic and it rattles the bottom floor with ease. The upstairs room will be for poker nights, family time, and music lovers. That system will focus on music and clarity above all else and a more traditional wood and leather look. Downstairs I am keeping modern and minimalist with some modern white and tiffany's blue leather couch and recliners.

I purchased the cabinet at Jerome's believe it or not. They had two floor samples left so I grabbed both of them and was going to use them for both systems. However, the cabinet weighs a ton and is not designed for a high output system, both of those factors ruled it out so I sold the second one. I think after selling the second one my net cost was about $200 for the one cabinet I kept.

blue, what I/W's are you going with. I've got the STS's and really don't want to spend the extra $$$ for the 9's. I was thinking of UIW75's?

UIW RSS III is where I am leaning to at the moment, if I re-run the rear wire I might consider some STS in lieu of the ST's I originally gone with. However, I believe DefTech has some new on wall speakers coming out soon, I may hold off until I can get some reviews of those. I am happy with my system, but would love to equal out the rears with something more substantial for SACD and DVD-A. I might do my LSi system upstairs before spending more money downstairs. Upgrading to the Elite will blow the rest of my budget for the downstairs for now.

Very Nice system. Whats great about the ST's is they get better with age. Like fine wine.

Thanks for all the positive responses and a especially for all the feedback and suggestions that members have provided over the past few months. (Danz1906 and Mantis even already posted in this thread lol) Without the suggestions and personal experiences I would of made even more errors. The Denon 2808 was purchased in advance, so that one was all me, but the Elite will take it up a notch and also leave me with all blue and amber lighting (I love uniformity).

Once the white leather sectional arrives I will post updated pictures and then it is off to planning upstairs. :)
