    Squal:
I've been around the block long enough to have seen groups like this collapse from their own hunger for power. The seeds of ACORN's demise are now germinating. Look for some major fracturing in their organization before the end of the year, followed by indictments of their leadership.

My comment on the Religious Right was to point out the fear level, not to compare the actual actions.

Man I'm not sure I've made it halfway round the block yet . . . based on history, I'm sure you are right, but how much damage will be done before they leave and when will the next group arrive? It's death by a thousand cuts . . . ninja after ninja.

I don't think their will be an indictments of their leadership until Obama is out of office or the Republicans develop a unwavering resolve to do what's right and are supported by Dems who don't like where their party is going.

What is truly shocking is that the Dems are going after the heroes that were defending this country and at the same time giving billions in the so called stimulus bills to corrupt groups like ACORN. We shouldn't get political here on Club Polk, but what is happening over the last 7 months has been a disaster. People are outraged that the STATE-RUN media is giving all of this crap a total pass.

    Fixed!:p

 What I find more offensive is that Acorn aligned themselves with developer Bruce Ratner to sell Brooklyn and NYC a false bill of goods by saying the NEW JERSEY NETS (that's right New Jersey Nets stadium in NY) stadium and Atlantic Yards Complex was going to promise new affordable housing ( under 500k IMO). The agreement was billed as “historic” in the press-release, the agreement was rescinded when the developer got his way. This is the biggest land-grab and abuse eminent domain in the history of this country! The Nets stadium is going to destroy historic middle-class neighborhoods and will absolutely wipe out ANY low-income residents. Keep in mind that the Median Income for this neighborhood is 63k and many can no longer afford buy. Acorn, Mayor Bloomberg and Ratner has laid the ground work for destroying a thriving community. The hell with this stupid little tape. This is a far bigger issue. Sure, I say shut them down, but for helping Ratner destroy Brooklyn.

LOL! I just watched the CEO of ACORN, Bertha Lewis on FN Sunday with Chris Wallace:D
Seated right next to her, was a Republican congressman, asking a LOT of tough questions:eek:
She wouldn't even look at him, and kept ignoring the questions, and giving automated responses!
I love watching weasels get busted!

Acorn just filed a lawsuit today against the 2 that filmed them for violating Maryland laws. Are they really that stupid? Do they not realize that they will have to testify under oath?????? Even being deposed will get Acorn in trouble. Can't wait.

This is the best case scenario, and exactly what the filmmakers want. ACORN is just bluffing, but if they are not . . . then they are opening themselves to DISCOVERY!

When you say 'DISCOVERY', does that include their 'accounting practices':eek::p
If that's the case, then I can't wait to see what the bean-counters from the WSJ dig up:D
