problem with amp or speakers??

i was having a party yesterday and had my speakers loud all of a sudden they went really quiet, still sound coming through them but very low , no bass, seems fine through headphones.

im wondering if we have blown the speakers or maybe the amp.

its a sherwood rd611 amp and eltax liberty 5 floorstanders

    Make sure that the speaker selector switch is engaged.

    i will try that thankyou .
    also when i plug headphones in the music still comes from the speakers lowly but sounds correct when coming out of headphones, is this right ??

    If that doesn't work, press the tape loop switches [bypassing the tape loop] until the signal returns. Just keep the volume down.

    thankyou , im not very technical so not sure what all the buttons on the amp do , so will check do you think that something has maybe been pressed that shouldnt have been ??
