Serious question: what kind of floor is it? How did you do it?

    Thanks!

It's a concrete epoxy coating from Home Depot. It took 3 kits because its a 2.5 car garage. About $71 a kit.

hey steve, do you have any air conditioning piped into the m-cave?

No Bill, not yet. With the ceiling fan, it's not too bad in the Summer; and I can't find a cost-effective way to pump AC in there. The 70's room is used primarily in the Fall/winter when it's a little chilly on the back patio, so AC isn't a big concern.

Your not 70's unless youv'e got some avocado green in there. How do those 8-tracks sound?

You know, you're absolutely right! I have considered painting the fridge avacado, and I'm also getting a 70's rotary wall phone in avacado green--it will be a "working" telephone, short cord and loud, obnoxious bell ringer.

George Grand (of the Jersey Grands) ever so kindly provided the Pioneer 8-track (circa 1974!) to me GRATIS, as well as a bunch of tapes. I haven't connected it up yet, but it is pristine. There's still protective tape on the tape door to keep from sratching the lettering.

    Thanks again George!

I don't know man, there would be a turntable in there if it were authentic. And what are those shiny CD looking thingys to the right of the receiver? Are you some weirded out space alien from the future? Leave that funky technology where you found it, we will all be thankful in the future. :)

An avocado fridge would make the room!

I may go vinyl in there, on some things my desire to have the latest (TV) kind of out-weighed keeping it retro. I also considered a VHS machine, but too many classic concerts cannot be found on VHS tape.

Over by the left end of the dry bar, there will be some door beads where the garage walks-out of the side door. They'll run even with the curtains. I still have to find a set...

It will get to about 90 degrees in the garage, that's about it. I leave the door partially open and run the ceiling fan, so it's not too bad. Opening the side access door allows for a bit of a cross-breeze as well. But like I said, we don't spend much time in the 70's room during the summer anyway.

A friend of mine had his entire ceiling covered with beer can pop-top chains.
    Those were the days.

Somewhere out in my country house I have a A-Green dialer. I'll try to find it the next time I'm out there. If I can it's yours.
