RT1000p no sound from midrange or tweeter

I'm getting sound only from the powered subwoofer in one of my RT1000p speakers. I'm not using the preamp sub inputs - just speaker wire connections. The green LED is on indicating the speaker has power but I don't hear anything from the midrange or tweeter. I just repaired my receiver which had a blown transistor on this same speaker channel and when I went to hook it up this is what happened. I've confirmed that it's a speaker problem because my other Polk is OK on both speaker channels.

Thanks in advance.

Are you sure that no wires came disconnected from the plateamp to the drivers themselves? I own a pair of RT1Kp's and, although the midrange+tweeter are passive they still receive their signal running through the speaker terminal inputs on the plateamp. If you're using speaker connections for the sub, make sure the jumper is properly set in place to the upper terminals I.E. tighten down the binding posts. Hope this helps!

    Btw, Welcome to CP!

Edit: Also wanted to add that the LED in the front of the speaker is simply to let you know that the plateamp is getting power, you can disconnect the power cord and still be able to send signal via speaker terminal inputs to your midrange/tweeter and they'll work just the same.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am using the wire post jumpers and am pretty sure that everyting is snug but I'll check again. Is it possible that I may have damaged the crossover with my receiver when it had the transistor problem?

I'd suggest trying the above mentioned since they're quick troubleshooting ideas but if you insist in getting in there and checking the caps/etc on the x-over, hope this helps.
