Best audio $$$$$$ I have ever spent.

I bought 20 of these and after the install my highs were higher and my lows were lower. I have MUCH more clarity. I never would have believed that raising my speaker wire off the floor would make such a difference. Wish I had done this sooner.

I am skeptical, but not closed minded, and need someone to explain this...

Not sure but a few things come to mind. No charges from the floor, capacitance/inductance changing less and causeing no charges, less vibrations to move the cable around. I don't quite grasp it.

i remember briefly reading a thread last week or so suggesting something like this but using ceramic's and vegetable's? lol
do they truly work? if so why not make your own? seem's simple enough....
what is the theory behind these on how they work?Media Room 7.1

the basic notion seems to be trading the dielectric of the floor/flooring material (e.g., synthetic carpet) for air.
Here's an example, with somewhat less hyperbolic ad copy than I remember from his paper catalogs...

Well your wire is carrying a current and thus will create a magnetic field around it. Inducing a magnetic charge in the floor could then cause the floor to induce some electrical interference in your wire and thus make your signal noisier. Now, the dielectric potential of wood floors is quite low while that of carpeting can vary quite a bit.... but its never going to be that high. Over a long cable run it could add up to something though. Im sure the effect of these thinsg would be scientifically measurable, but its up to you if youc an hear it.
Most of all they really just overcharge for these things. You would do just as well propping them up with some paperback books every couple feet to see if it makes a difference. If you notice anything go ahead and buy something more attractive. My Iron Man training/charity blog.

I wondered about this when I saw the "produce standoffs" thread,
There are similar standoffs that are used for rebar when pouring footings.
IDK why they wouldn't work and are alot cheaper, $1.80 ea (2.25"h)

they also have them in 3.25"h for $2ea.
btw the saddle is 1/2"-5/8" dia, so most cables should fit easily... -

It's not something I'm likely to be considering in the next ten years, regardless, but congratulations on the added enjoyment of your system, Polk user!Alea jacta est! -

What about TV cables, Comcast,AT&T U- Verse, etc; electric, and phone cables that are burried under ground? Would they sound better, and the picture clearer if they were suspened in the air by poles? Some final words,
