PS3 and Surroundbar 50 Static Issues

Have the Surroundbar 50 and am getting loud static when watching a blu ray. So loud that I can't even play one because I am scared of blowing the speakers. What is causing this static. Have it hooked up via HDMI. I tried both the BD and HDMI 2 Port for the same result. Using cable tv for HDMI 1 and no issues whatsoever. Any help?

    Hello,
    Thanks for posting on the Forum. Looking at your description of the problem, I would say the PS3 is the cause. Since there's no noise when you feed the same type of audio signal to the receiver, using the same input, and the player causes the same kind of problem no matter which input you use, the player is the common device.

    May be off in left field with this one, but make sure your PS3 is outputting in a format supported by your receiver...
