I don't plagiarize like your friend Kuntasensei.
Thank you for the compliment though.
At least you are starting to read and understand that there are other learned people who have similar conclusions.
Read the learned opinions of others.
Keep going and you will eventually see the light.
I wouldn't call any of those people I mentioned "learned". More like left-wing nutcases totally devoid of any sense of humor in the funny or ironic sense.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

Looks like you got into the Christmas rum a little early.;)
Sounds exactly as drunken heads usually sees the world through a glass of rum and not knowing whether they are drunk or the others are drunk.
What an irony!
Anyway, You enjoy Christmas and don't watch any movies during this Christmas Holidays! You never know how the movies manipulate you if you watch them.Trying out Different Audio Cables is a Religious Affair. You don't discuss it with anyone.:biggrin: -
Many Jewish people agree with you, and this is unfortunate.
Many rightfully do not.
I respectfully suggest you watch the movie again in light of what I have said and re-evaluate it.
I also suggest reading the following:

My goodness I just read that whole article and it seems you have taken that article as YOUR mantra. -
Of course he is clever, sick and twisted that's why his movies are soooo good.

Charlie Chaplin, Mel Brooks, and Monty Python were funny and did **** satire well.
Tarantino is just clever, sick and twisted.

And speaking of Chaplin this is cool.
Great backup group, anyone heard of them?

You know what? I think Mel Brooks is even more twisted than Tarantino. Then again, very few people actually get the darker jokes in alot of Mel Brooks' stuff. Thing is you actually have to be paying attention to the world around you to get a good chunk of stuff from Mel Brooks. Most people, like you, aren't smart enough to see that.
Monty Python is funny because it's absurd. But, and alot of people with certainly more cranial horsepower than you, agree with this, Monty Python is laughing at their audience. Thig is, most times the audience doesn't see the social commentary because they are stuck on the daft and shallow political commentary.
Is it a conspiracy? No. It's not. Does it mean that Monty Python was made up of people hating anarchists? Most certainly not. What it does mean is that it was and still is a social satire laced with political commentary and slapstick humor. Most people don't get past the surface humor and think it's just silly. That's fine 'cause it's hilarious in it's own respect. But those that do see past the silliness to the darkness of John Cleese deadpanning a cold stare at the audience...yeah, those people see the gears grinding. They can hear his thoughts "You daft idiots have no idea that I'm merely holding up a mirror." When you watch Monty Python, the joke's on you! But that's the humor, the irony, the satire.
Inglorious ****...yeah, I don't get that. Quentin Tarantino himself said, and I quote:"...a spaghetti western but with World War II iconography..."**
Besides that, this is essentially a remake that Tarantino took a great deal of license with in the story. That original being the film released in 1978 titled "The Inglorious ****" directed by Enzo G. Castellari, written by Sandro Continenza, Sergio Grieco, Franco Marotta, Romano Migliorini, and Laura Toscano.

That was about a band of American soldiers on their way to a military prison to await court marshal for various transgressions from murder to desertion. Only thing is the train they are on is hit by an enemy strike and the guarding MPs are killed. They then decide to do a commando mission with teh French resistance to gain control of a secret German weapon. Doing so mean the end of the war. All of those aspects are in Tarantino's movie with the caveat that the band of criminals are Jewish.
Tarantino also borrows heavily from the film "The Dirty Dozen" which is, without a doubt, a spaghetti western set in 1944 occupied Europe. A quick run down on "The Dirty Dozen" who haven't seen it. A commander takes a bunch of military criminals and outcasts on a top secret pre-invasion mission

You obviously didn't read my posts. It wasn't Tarantino having a sly wink at the audinece, he was laughing at the audience as he demonstrated that the audience was no different than the ****'s. Both laughed at human slaughter. Kuntasensei, he laughed at you with his sick sense of humor. So you think you got it and I didn't. I guess you like being laughed at.
In the present context, look no further than our handling of Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo and the present results.
Ask your "Brigadier General and a graduate of West Point" friend whether it is correct in a time of war to mock the Hague Conventions, the Geneva Conventions, and the American and Allied soldiers - portraying them as the enemy would portray them.
No wonder we are having the difficulties we are having. You've explained it well.
You fell for the "cool version of Goebbels" aka Tarantino....Now do you get it?
WOW.
I came back into this thread today thinking I would see some more people liking it and came to this. geezeee, you need to get a grip on things.
Kuntasensei said it well in his first post but dude, xcapri79, stop flying off the handle. I can pretty much assure you that a simple movie is not going to cause an uprising in the middle east and whatever else you fear. This is a MOVIE, but ya know you ignore all the other reasons someone could develop a distaste for Americans and the culture such as lack of support for the other countries religion, democratization of other countries when they don't want to be, lack of understanding of their social structures and cultural beliefs, which can be/are/have been cited as main causes for distrust of Americans in other countries but nooo you blame it on a stupid freakin' movie. (I am not arguing that these are the reason others hate us, nor do I personally believe them to all be true ect just to make it clear).
If you really feel sooooo bad about this, do this.
GET OFF THE STUPID FREAKIN' COMPUTER AND GO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
You are not rising awareness to anyone with the way you are phrasing or name calling, in fact you are doing the opposite so that if someone would agree with you, they would probably never admit it because your coming off so harshly and frankly standoffish, that they wouldn't want to be associated with you.
Go do some social action and protest against congress for allowing people to make such a movie, or write to your senator stating you don't want such trash to be made (even though that would be government censorship and could be seen as an infringement upon Civil Rights, but oh it offended you so it must be bad) , or better yet, if you think you have a problem with a movie or something don't read it or see it as it may offend you.
hmm problem solved. -
I won't copy it here again, but John that last post was spectacular!
I love it when it gets to the point where someone knows they're beat and all they can do is revert into childhood and just start posting videos, and that's all capri had after that last post.
xcapri, it's obvious at this point that you're an idiot, but lets set that aside for a moment and address a more serious matter. With your initial post in this thread you came close to breaking one of our forum rules, that being no discussion of politics or religion. With many of your subsequent posts you have outright violated that rule. This conversation is EXACTLY why we have that rule in place. However, you decided that you're above the rules and decided to bring that trash into this thread, so all of this IS YOUR FAULT.
You should probably be banned for being an idiot and trying to stir **** up, but you should absolutely be banned for breaking rule #2.2) The discussion of politics and religion is not allowed on this forum. -
The entire movie "Inglourious ****" is about politics and religion among other things didn't you notice?
Perhaps the movie should not have been mentioned in here in the first place.
Should all the personal attacks on me be tolerated?
We were not sitting here commenting on this aspect of the movie, but you felt the need to. We did not bring up religion, or why people would hate us in American or the Geneva Conventions, ect, you did.
We were simply stating we liked the movie, and if you are saying that we stating our like or dislike for the movie is discussing religion and politics, wow...you need help. -
I had you pegged as a troll a couple of years ago and you prove it more and more.

Funny how you guys can't take your own medicine and you need to revert to personal attacks when you are unable to discuss and debate a topic in a civil manner.
You are not discussing or debating a topic in a civil manner. You just keep spewing the same garbage over and over again then start taunting with silly youtube links. You have the nerve to state that you are and I am paraphrasing, " just educating us poor uneducated slobs" just like you do in cable and amplifier threads. You argue just for the sake of arguing . . . that is one of the definitions of trolling.
Get over yourself and stop trolling for once. -

Oh my God... you mean more than one person compared the two most notable portrayals of **** in recent cinema? You're right... I was so incapable of having an original thought that I culled through hundreds of posts at imdb.com to come up with that little gem. It had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that you're at a forum centered around home theater, full of people who love movies.

Speaking against the movie portrayal of American and Allied Jewish soldiers as cruel sadists isn't garbage.
Stating that it isn't humorous isn't garbage.
Speaking against anti-semitism in movies isn't garbage.
Speaking against the creator of this sick movie and how he manipulated his audience isn't garbage.
That's what I did.
It is sad you don't see don't that way.
Call me names for defending decency.
Fine, you would rather side with Tarantino. That's your choice.
At least I know where I stand..
How many more times are you going to spew the same mantra?Merry Christmas and my peace be with you and your famly.
That is an anti-Semitic remark! -
OK, at what point does this become old? I have actually read most of this stuff and I feel like punching myself in the testicles to blur my vision.
If you fine folks could divert the passion you have upon this subject or divine hatred for x or y....to some useful posts to help the Polk community, we might actually help someone in the troubleshooting area.
Let's just draw some lines in the sand and promise to mud wrestle to the death at the next Polkfest. I think that it's your duty to be present at such a gathering and beings we've had what 9 so far? Your account should be deleted if you do not attend.
