however I see that Tarantino wittingly or unwittingly made a great Al Qaeda recruitment movie. Like a typical Hollywood insider, he has done a great disservice to our troops who are in harms way.
So, did Rambo scare Al Qaeda, and any possible recruits? I didn't think so.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable

You obviously didn't read my posts. It wasn't Tarantino having a sly wink at the audinece, he was laughing at the audience as he demonstrated that the audience was no different than the ****'s. Both laughed at human slaughter. Kuntasensei, he laughed at you with his sick sense of humor. So you think you got it and I didn't. I guess you like being laughed at.
In the present context, look no further than our handling of Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo and the present results.
Ask your "Brigadier General and a graduate of West Point" friend whether it is correct in a time of war to mock the Hague Conventions, the Geneva Conventions, and the American and Allied soldiers - portraying them as the enemy would portray them.
No wonder we are having the difficulties we are having. You've explained it well.
You fell for the "cool version of Goebbels" aka Tarantino....Now do you get it?
Actually, the Brigadier General and graduate of West Point are two separate people, hence the reason I used the word "they". But I digress.
Comparing Tarantino to Joseph Goebbels pretty much negates anything you have to say here, because that is absolute lunacy. It's one thing to say that you didn't like the movie. It's quite another to compare the propaganda films created by a regime guilty of genocide to a movie that intentionally exaggerates the conventions of 60s/70s war films and spaghetti westerns. No sane person who watches this movie thinks that it's okay to do these things, any more than they thought it was okay to cut off a cop's ear from watching Reservoir Dogs or shoot people for stealing your briefcase from watching Pulp Fiction.
You seem to think that Tarantino has some political agenda, whereas anyone who has ever seen the guy talk about movies knows that his thought process was probably more along the lines of "You know what would be f@$king cool? If a group of Jews got to go in and get brutal revenge on the **** who killed millions of their people, including all the big figureheads of the Third Reich."
But you're right... atrocities like those shown in Inglourious **** would never have happened during World War II. Oh... except that they did.
Inglourious **** is a fantastic revenge fantasy, culminating in the face of the Jews (Shoshanna) literally laughing at their transgressors as they burn. Raines' band of Jews serve as a figurative Golem, much akin to the Golem of Prague from Jewish folklore, capable of doing what the Jewish people themselves could not. But more than that, it's just damn good entertainment - an over-the-top plot whose concessions only exist so you can have those brilliant long scenes of slowly ratcheting tension (especially any scene with Christoph Waltz' Col. Hans Landa, which will no doubt win him countless awards and stand as the most politely vicious portrayal of a **** since Ralph Fiennes' Amon Goeth in Schindler's List).
But hey... if you didn't like it, you didn't like it. No need to get your panties in a twist.Equipment list:

It is the "****" consisting of an uncouth stereotypical hillbilly, a psychopath and other hoodlams vs the Germans and ****'s generally portrayed as being suave, charming, cultured, and intelligent.
In which case... how do you explain Spielberg's supposed Oscar blacklisting by Jewish voters for generally portraying **** as buffoons until releasing Schindler's List? "Suave, charming, cultured and intelligent" have often been qualities associated with psychopaths and when given to individuals who we know to perform such heinous deeds, tend to establish an Uncanny Valley that forces the audience to become even more revolted by their mere presence.
If you can find me one individual who came out of this movie rooting for the ****'s then I'll show you one individual who was already rooting for the ****'s. No more is this more evident than in the opening scene. Just reference the way Col. Hans Landa drinks his glass of milk.I never had it like this where I grew up. If you don't get it that Tarantino pays homage to Goebbels and identifies with him, then you absolutely don't get it at all. Did you miss that Goebbels compared himself to being the David O. Selznick of the German film industry instead of Louis B. Mayer? What an homage!
Your love for Tarantino is truly blind.
In general it is really clear that thoughout the movie, Tarantino is really fascinated by the ****'s and devotes far more time in dialog with **** conversatons including Goebbels and Hans Landa than he does with the "****".
In this very anti-Semitic and anti-American film, Tarantino created some clever ambiguities. However, when you take the movie as a whole and you compare and contrast his depiction of the Americans/Allies vs the ****'s/Germans it is very clear.
It is the "****" consisting of an uncouth stereotypical hillbilly, a psychopath, and other hoodlams vs the Germans and ****'s generally portrayed as being suave, charming, cultured, and intelligent.
Tarantino showed the Americans/Allies to be a bunch of chumps and good at torture.
I mean you just don't get any better than that.
But you probably didn't notice that too. Tarantino duped another one.
Anti-Semitic and Anti-American? Did you even see the same movie I did? The Jews get their revenge and Jewish American soldiers end the war! Forget it... There's no point in arguing with some people. But I'm thankful that the vast majority of viewers and critics enjoyed it for what it was and didn't go all conspiracy-nut like you apparently did.
I almost want your boy Viva Manalowe to post his review now just so we can see what you say if he likes it.Equipment list:

You're just jealous 'cause the voices don't talk to you! -
When did the Three Stooges act as non-uniformed soldiers and commit acts of torture on their prisoners?
I mean did Tarantino fool you guys that badly and you still can't admit it?
First off, it was a movie. I went to be entertained by a story that was complete...let me repeat that word for the morons among us like you...COMPLETE...it was COMPLETE FICTION. If you are that much of a mental midget that you can look so far in to such a film and see something that just isn't there then I have to say that your mental faculties are suspect and you need to seek psychiatric help immediately.
As for being duped by Tarantino, the only thing the mad duped me out of was $8.50 to see his movie. But, then again, I wasn't really duped because I went in expecting to be entertained for a couple hours and I was. Thoroughly.
I wasn't cheering for **** destruction. I wasn't laughing at a massive massacre of human life. I was cheering for the fact that Tarantino had the stones to put up something so gleefully absurd and let people watch it, damn the consequences. Then again, he usually does that. I was laughing at the fact that the bad guy got screwed in the end. Outwitted by a "hillbilly" and a "Jew". I was uncomfortable, along with every other person in the theater, during the dinner scene with Goebbels and the scene in the Tavern with "The Jew Hunter". But the movie did what it was supposed to do. It told a story in a thrilling and emotionally impacting manner. I laughed, I cried, I squirmed in my seat. I had an absolute BLAST!
Aside from that, I am extremely offended that an individual as honestly stupid, incoherent and out of touch as yourself would speak to me and several others in this thread who are obviously of superior intelligence and mental capacity to yourself as if we were mindless children completely incapable of original thought. You, are a crackpot and like what was already said, you're out of left field completely.
Then again, you're digging your own grave here and you'll ostracized more than you already are for these insane postings. But usually this place is pretty good at weeding out those with terminal rectal-cranial inversion. This place as been slacking lately though because there are several here afflicted with the disease who seem to be clinging on like barnacles on a garbage barge.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

Tarantino laughed at the likes of you. Watch the movie again and you might get it.
What is it that I don't get, specifically? I have hardly said anything about the movie other than that I thought it was "fun and hilarious." I'm interested in knowing how much you think I don't get from a three word statement. -
Truly this sees to be so since you need to resort to personal attacks because your arguments are so weak. I exposed your prejudice. Propaganda is fiction and you were duped by the 'cool Goebbels" aka Tarantino.
You and others were manipulated by Tarantino into accepting this sick anti-Semitic and anti-American movie as entertainment. Name calling can't save you.
I've exposed that you found torture funny, oh but but it wasn't that you say. Hmm, too bad and too late!
Wow, I'm impressed! You are even better at starting a war over a movie, a bit of fiction!
You really seem to thrive on controversy regardless of the topic.
It's a friggin MOVIE MADE FOR ENTERTAINMENT! Get over it already. You didn't like it, GREAT! All the more reason I've put it at the top of my Netflix queue. -
Revenge through terror and torture?! Again thank you for making my point!
That is not what the Americans and Allies really did.
Read the Hague and Geneva Conventions. American soldiers dress as soldiers, use the rules of engagement and follow the rules of war.
Yes the movie is extremely Anti-Semitic.
Tarantino portrays the "****" more like Al Qaeda - and you bought it.
Okay... you do get that Tarantino's movies are typically violent female revenge fantasies, right? Kill Bill, CHECK. Jackie Brown, CHECK (though technically written by Elmore Leonard, who also writes strong female characters). Grindhouse: Death Proof, CHECK. Natural Born Killers, CHECK. True Romance, CHECK. Inglourious ****, CHECK! So... what did you expect? Of course the **** brand the survivors! Of course Shoshanna sets out to kill the architects of her people's and her family's demise! IT'S A TARANTINO MOVIE!
A few things you should take note of:
1) There actually was a unit that scalped Germans (though the unit primarily consisted of Native Americans, not Jews). It's historical fact. You can bury your head in the sand all you want, but it happened.
2) The Geneva Conventions weren't ratified until 1949, so they do not apply to World War II.
3) There were widespread violations of the Hague Conventions on the American side, particularly after the liberation of Auschwitz in 1945. Once Hitler's final solution was revealed, there was a common belief amongst soldiers that the Hague no longer applied against an enemy such as the Germans.
4) You have yet to explain how the movie is Anti-Semitic. Please do, if only for the entertainment value.
5) In the movie, the **** employed guerrilla warfare to combat and demoralize a larger armed force. You know... like we did during the Revolutionary War. Just sayin'!

Yeah but you still "laughed at torture" you insensitive, callous clod!
Funny though, I don't ever recall actually laughing at torture. Cringed, yes. Laughed at, no. But this douchenozzle seems to know me better than I know me.
Funny thing is though, everybody focuses on the Jews in WW2. But the reality is that Hitler exterminated Catholics as well as blacks, Poles, Czechs and Hungarians. He probably would have done more had he been more successful. If you weren't blond-haired and blue-eyed, you were not human in Hiler's eyes...which were brown and they were often hidden by his dark-brown comb-over which he used to to hide his genetic shortcomings of male-pattern baldness in comparison to his "master race".
Funny thing is, this kid wants to bring in Hitler and his hate crimes and show how Tarantino supports it in one way or another. Yet, here I am, reading this crap, being accused of being a **** sympathizer while looking at the family tree that my mother put together with branches that stop two generations ago. Why did they stop? "Killed in Auschwitz". "Killed in Birkenau". "Killed in Treblinka". "Died in Janowska". Yeah. I'm a **** sympathizer and I'm just like Al Queda because I was indifferent to the torturous death that those who murdered my family were subjected to.
