Hello all!!!!!

Alice in Chains finally got a new album coming out. It will be released on Sept 29 , 2009.

I'm a huge AIC fan. You can download the single now on itunes. It's pretty cool.

I saw them live with there new singer. He looks kinda Lenny Kravitz but has a kinda Layne voice. He is very good and fits in the band well. I was not ready for him when I saw them live. He blew me away.

Thanks for the heads up Dan!!

Me and the wife are big fans as well, and the new singer is great IMO. We saw them live about two years ago just to hear the music live, and like you said he blew us away.

Been waiting for this. I own all their albums and some DVD's and i happen to come across a 5.1 of all their albums on the internet. AIC in 5.1 is just magical.

Not bad. Reminds me more of Jerry Cantrell work after Lane passed away than the original AIC.

Your losing out on some great music. Thats like saying you can't listen to Van Halen without David. You can't listen to Def Leopard without the drummers arm.

Things change man and I'm as huge of a Layne fan as anyone. He was one of my very favorite singers. very unique. But I saw them in concert with there new singer and he is really good.

Give it a chance man , you will be happy you did.

    I like it!!!!

With that said Dan, I had a real hard time with David Lee Roth not being in Van Halen, and I am a big fan of Sammy Hagar. but a bigger fan of old Van Halen.

I am older now so i don't give a **** about it now days, but back in the day it just bugged the hell out of me.

It's not like they kicked him out.

eh...I'm sure I'll check it out eventually, but I'm not in a big hurry.

As far as Van Halen with out David Lee Roth? I can't even listen to them with Roth.:p Not really a fan...that's beside the point though.

itunes? I don't know nothing bout no stinkin itunes. I don't have it...doubt I ever will either. Nor do I have paypal to pay them their dollar. I doubt they accept money orders...lol

I'm sure it's still good...but to me, Layne was the soul of AIC. It's just not going to be the same without him. Like I said...I'll get it sooner or later, but it's not one that I'm going to run right out and get.
