Got this from Mahalo today. Thought it was worth sharing.
"Personally I have used Blackberries with both wi-fi and in fact I have used the Tour. Here are my thoughts:
If you are on Verizon then the Tour is fine since their 3g service is best and you dont miss the wi-fi at all. However the Tour as a device is full of software bugs for the time being. There is a lot of lag, and it tends to be a slow device....on occasion.
If you are on AT&T or T-MOBILE then YES...you definitely need a blackberry with wi-fi. AT&T 3g service is plain out useless mos of the time, depending on the area, due to the iPhone sucking up all of its bandwidth. T-Mobile simply does not have great coverage and their 3g has only been rolled out in a few cities.
That about sums it up....let me know if you have any specific questions. I have a Tour, a Bold, a Curve II (8900), and a 8520. - Yep...I am in IT. ""The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it." Neil deGrasse Tyson.
