Am I understanding correctly the watts/channel specs for my Pioneer VSX-94TXH that it provides 140w no matter what the set up, 2.1, 5.1 or 7.1? What am I missing? If this is not true, then what are the specs? Thanks

    Its called Google.

"Power output was generous in 2- and 1-channel tests, and the 94TXH was happy enough driving 4-ohm loads. With 5 and 7 channels driven, and its clamping circuitry in full effect, it fell well short of 100 watts per channel"

They never output what they say per channel. So now, I use my Pio '94 as a pre amp and I am using Carver 1.5t's amps on all my speakers. I was supprised when the tone on the '94 got warmer with the carver's.

bsoko2 - Thanks for the feedback. I'm hoping to upgrade to some amps in the future when the funds are available. And by the way, great set up. I looked at your System Showcase. I'll be posting mine soon too. Thanks again
