I don't watch football but I will play. Cowboys, because Jerry will whip their butts if they don't win after having spent $1.4b for the new stadium. Which by the way cost $15 to tour. The center stadium HDTV is impressive. 1080P and something like 2003 inch diag.

Please, Jerry made the taxpayers pay for most of that monstrosity, just like most other stadiums.
He didn't get to be rich spending his own money. If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -
I'm still trying to figure out how the Giants/Jets stadium and Cowboys stadium can cost 1.6 and 1.4 billion. When just a few years prior Heinz Field and the New Mile High can be erected for $300 and $400 million respectively. Granted, Tony Soprano is probably collecting 25% out in New Jersey, but Jerry Jones must be involved in some sort of R&D project to scam $800 million to take with him into the afterlife from Texas!Review Site_ (((AudioPursuit)))

Since I live in Los Angeles and don't have an NFL team and don't give a SH#t who wins, I think the Patriots can win it this year, at least, that's what my pre-season bet will be in Vegas anyway.:)"The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it." Neil deGrasse Tyson.

I think all the technology in the new Dallas stadium including that 50 yard long HD TV have something to do with it.
The Meadowlands, I dunno. I think the property values there shot up and that might have something to do with it too 'cause it's not being built on the same spot.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

Heh. Stupid Vikings, it seems, are now going to drop Tarvais Jackson. They want to trade him out of the conference. If I was San Fran, Detroit, Seattle or even Green Bay, I'd jump all over him. He has intimate knowledge of the Vikings offense and those three teams do not have a talent pool deep enough to challenge the Vikings. But, if they know the Vikings offensive game plan well enough, they can come better prepared to defend against it.
Don't think it wouldn't happen either. Jackson is getting ousted because the old man wants to play with his ball. He's going to be angry and bitter. There is nothing to stop him and I really don't think Goodell would let something like a non-compete sort of agreement to stand. If they could get Jackson to even sign such a document.
I'd say he could go elsewhere but those teams could benefit greatly. They are also the closest ones that would be just outside of a playoff threat where that could make a difference. The rest of the NFC is either defensive power houses like the Eagles, Cowboys, Giants and Bears or they have a slim chance of getting a playoff berth at all. Especially if last years performances make a repeat.
Most of all, I'm liking Minnesota's chances less and less this year. I think there is a strong possibility that they will be an even team. The defense could be a stunner but I see the chaotic shambles of an offense being unable to score regularly let alone reliably and that's going to be a problem for them. Especially when the rest of the NFC has teams that can crush a Viking team with a floundering offense.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

Time to lay off the crack pipe... TJ may be released, and I don't think he has shown the skill other teams are looking for for him to be wanted anywhere else. His knowlege of the Vikings is useless to anyone else, as the teams within the NFC already know what they are all about anyway, and that's Adrian Petersen. With Farve coming on board, they now need to consider that the Vikings previously under-used receiving corps will get a shot at the ball. I see this as a situation where opponents will need to choose the method by which they want to get beat. If Farve can keep his interceptions to a minimum, It will be the best chance the Vikings have had of going to the Super Bowl since 1998...The Gear... Yeah, and I'm the one on the crackpipe.
The Vikings are no where near the kind of team you keep talking them up to be. Brett Favre is an over-the-hill has-been clinging to strings of what once was a very successful career. A good chunk of that career is due to the talent depth he had surrounding him. Think I'm wrong? I will hold up The Jets last season as evidence of the fact that without stellar recievers, good running backs and top notch O-line, Brett Favre is ineffective. The Vikings aren't in a much better position than the Jets were this time last year.
If the Vikings get farther than a Wildcard slot at the end of the season I will be impressed. There are too many other teams with much, much deeper talent pools and in better positions staff-wise than Minnesota.Expert Moron Extraordinaire

... Last I checked, the Vikings have the best running back tandem in the NFL, and with a QB that can throw the ball once in a while, I expect our underused recieving corps will get a shot at the ball too. Combined with the sixth best defense in the NFL last season, I expect as does every talking head analyst, that the Vikings are in the best position in more than a decade to make a run for Miami. The Gear... I think the Vikings will be a good team this year. I wouldn't they are legit contenders yet, but they have improved after getting Favre.
I still like my Cowboys, hope they don't fall off at the end like they have the past two seasons.Setup:

I don't see that being a problem this year!!!! and I love my Broncos.

As bad as the QB situation in Denver looks, just can't see KC beating them this year, as the Chief's cupboard has so little to work with. It's fair to say the lowest rated announcer crews will be broadcasting those two games.Review Site_ (((AudioPursuit)))

Maybe the UFL? lol -
A big part of Orton's problem is that his mental clock is out of whack. The Broncos OL is possibly a top 5 unit, but Orton began to panic when he didn't need to, a habit from last year when the da Bears OL was getting pummeled. Not to mention some poor footwork which leaves him throwing off of his back foot.
Orton better improve this week, or the job will go to Simms, who looks far more comfortable in the pocket and offers a much better play action pass fake and a stronger arm.Review Site_ (((AudioPursuit)))

ok..signing Favre was absolutely a risk the Vikings HAD to take. Will it work?..time will tell. But to go into the season with Jackson and Rosenfells is a MUCH bigger risk. Jackson is terrible and will be released. Sage showed signs of being good in the 1st preseason game. But he rolled his ankle and Im sure the coaches cringed wondering what they would do if he does get hurt. Sharper is a shell of himself and thinking he was the best defensive player on the team last year is ludicrous. He is MUCH slower and got beat numerous times last season.
If Favre is anywhere close to where he was 2 years ago, teams will not be able to put 8 men in the box to stop Peterson..again a risk they had to takePioneer Elite VSX-53, Polk RT800i fronts, Polk CS400i center, FX500i surround, Velodyne sub -

Well said, and remember the last time the Vikings pulled a QB from retirement, they went 15-1 and had the most potent offense in the history of football up that point. Randall Cunningham was half the QB Brett Farve is, and Farve has all sorts of wonderful toys at his disposal, including a rookie wide reciever named Percy Harvin. According to what I have heard, he is more athletic than Randy Moss. The Gear... The Giants are my team but Manning needs a big target, they will be good but not good enough: Cowgirls-lots of talent but no heart; Phillie-no clue, probably a lot of the same but I like what Vick can give the offense; I think it will be the Viking in the NFC, not because of what Farve will to the passing game but what he will do for Peterson. As long as they can keep Farve from passing to the other team, they will be in the super bowl.
