Wow, whoever the phantom tagger on this thread is really doesn't like you Jesse, lol. Or MIT wires either. I'm sure you are losing lots of sleep over it too, lol. Anywhoot, I would like to say that I think speaker wires do make a difference, IMHO. Most obvious case was when I had my Onkyo HTIB and the stock junk wire that came with it. I swapped that out for some "moderately priced" speaker wire (no, not the M word, lol) and it was like night and day. Then again that is like comparing apples to oranges, but still relevant if you ask me. Can't imagine what a set of those bad boys would do, I just can't afford anything like that, so until MIT or some generous Polkie gives me a set free and clear, I will have to be content with the ones I have. Just my $.02, maybe I can make the tag list now too, lol.

To cut through the marketing language, and to understand the science behind Bruce Brisson's technology, I suggest you read Bruce's whitepapers. Start with "MIT Technical Note 101 Transportable Power in Audio Cables: Energy Storage Elements and the Power Factor."
http://www.mitcables.com/pdf/Transportable_Power_101.pdf
This particular paper is very enlightening. You may end up with more questions once you read it, but you will be more informed and your questions will inevitably lead to a greater understanding of how this technology works. I wish everybody would read it.
Great thread everyone! -

I read the article but prefer to believe that the network boxes on my MIT Shotguns are filled with beer which makes the music sound better.

Apparently I was wrong about the inevitability of greater understanding. -
Thanks for the white paper gavn8. Unfortunately, I have neither the time nor the inclination to read something like that. I prefer to just let my ears tell me what's what.
I did however pass this paper on to a friend who needs this kind of substantiation to actually "hear" the benefits of a product. We all know these people exist. Unless they've got the facts, it's just impossible for them to hear the truth. -

But, how will you know the flux capacitor and beer will make everything sound more liquid??

hehehe, I must confess to perusing white papers about products, of course in the end as my young friend says its what you hear that counts and what you should trust in. The first time I heard MIT in a rig the rig sounded great, of course, it was not just the cables. The next time I heard MIT in another rig it sounded great, of course it was not just the cables, but I was hearing a trend.

The paper was a good read. (well the first half, so far..)
I don't pretend to understand all of what I read, but it did a very good job of giving a basic understanding of how the 'magic boxes' work.
Thank you! -
I can't win.
Hey, don't get down. I did skim it a bit . . . your enthusiasm and attempt to educate are much appreciated. I file it in my To Read list.
