Seriously this is what I would do, pull the ad, put in some technical info add an excerpt or two from a great review use a nice background that will compliment your pictures and dont ue Ebays pic uploading use auctivia or some other site to upload some large high res pics and bump the price to 3k it's all about marketing on ebay. Gush on about how you will never find another pair in this condition and how people have driven thousands of miles to purchas a set in lesser condition than these. Sell me on your speakersnikolas812 wrote: »
Will do.

I prefer to take a bit of liberty in tying fast. Going "1.2" every time is too easy to make a mistake and say 2.3 or something to that effect--which would identify the wrong speakers entirely and cause general havoc. Now in that aspect you're right--perhaps I should append "1.2" or (now) "1.2TL" whenever I talk about those speakers. But take security in the fact that I won't always say "Polk Stereo Dimensional Array Signature Reference Series 1.2 to 1.2TL" or include a billion adjectives about it, just to be specific with passing comments.
Again, you are making misinformed comments (not to mention making excuses), which will confuse folks who don't know any better. How difficult is it to type SDA 1.2? I mean, you managed to type SRS and 1.2TL. All three are very different speakers, therefore you need to be specific.Political Correctness'.........defined

I'm not trying to set and Ebay record or anything.
I think $2500 is fair... And from the interest I am getting on ebay. Others must think so too...
Nik -
Perhaps not but wouldndt you rather have 3k than $2500.00 ?nikolas812 wrote: »I'm not trying to set and Ebay record or anything.

I think the record for an used pair is $3500.00 and they were not in any better shape than yours.
BTW if you were here instead of there we would be discussing how nice they look in my livingroom next to my other set because they would be sold.

No kidding? $3500
Thats more than they were new.
Maybe I'll take some better picks later for a new ad....
I didn't know you could upload pics from a host though????

I know that you used to be able to upload your own pics and use programs like Auctiva for auctions. Here are a couple links one is a completed auction that has larger pics that when you scroll down you will see. the other is the auctiva software that is free for 30 days.nikolas812 wrote: »No kidding? $3500

Send Nik a PM if you are serious about buying these im pretty sure that you guys could work something out after all there is such a thing as express mail guaranteed overnight with a USPS moneyorder given the fact that it usally takes 3-4 days for the money to be transferred to your bank account from paypal anyways it might even be quicker.Gary Batson wrote: »These are my dream. Congrats Gary. You stole these in my oppinion
When it comes to anything audio if it is in truly mint condition the price can many times exceed the full retail price. It almost makes me want to move south

When I said if they were in my neighborhood they would allready be mine I wasnt kidding, $2200.00 or even $3000.00 it wouldndt make any difference to me because I know that I would very likely never get a chance to own a pair in museum quality condition again.

Nope. They came in a silver tone, a black tone or a gold tone. Due to the process required to make them, the color could not be controlled perfectly. Polk would sort thru them and color match a set for each pair of SDA's.The dome and the majority of the plate; there's a rim around it (about a centimeter last I checked).
Sorry - I was mistaken in the comment you quoted. Since I cannot edit my old posts, I cannot correct it.

Picked them up today. Absolutely perfet.!!!..Not even a scratch on the bottoms.!!!...Had a slight misshap when I had to break fast and they slid and crashed into the backs of the front seats. I don't have them out yet but I don't think they're hurt. That Nick is a really nice guy. I'm sure he'll miss these. By the way, These domes are silver.

Nice! Glad they surrvived the trip.
Now get them hooked up and start listening!
