how to deal with a hornet nest - hillbilly style

cutting my grass this morning, I was making a pass where my lawn meets the woodline and ZAP! I got stung right in the head. Oh boy did that hurt. I looked up(after running away of course) and sure enough, about 8 ft. up the tree was a hornet nest. Little ****! Well I thought I'd return the favor. Walked in the house and grabbed my handy dandy remington 870. Loaded up a few 2 3/4 magnums (turkey shot) and went back outside, ready for battle. I unloaded 2 rounds from about 30ft away and - no more nest. Who needs an exterminator? :D

yeah, I forgot to mention my make shift bee suit. A 1 peice hunting suit, simmilar to carhart, my chest waders, 3 hooded sweatshirts and a carhart over all that. I walked outside looking like the michilan man, 12 gauge in hand. my neighbors think I'm nuts :)

There had to be some survivors or a few stragglers outside the nest at the time of your attack. I imagine they are plotting their revenge.

Hornets only live for a few months. You might want to keep an eye out until the beginning of winter.;)

    Good luck.
