That's crazy talk. Lack of humidity can help you bare 10, maybe 15 degrees difference (IE 85 in humid weather is getting pretty uncomfortable, where in really dry weather 95 is where it starts to get uncomfortable) but 130 is 130, I don't give a **** if it's dry as Mars. I've been out in Arizona in 115 degree dry heat, and it ain't no picnic, and I was far more miserable in that weather than I get when it's in the 90s and humid around here. It's not even close.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I'd have to say it's a personal preference then. Been to Iraq 3 times, and 2 of those times I was around during the summer (later 04/early 05 1st dep. beginning of 06 to mid 06 2nd dep. and mid 07 to early 08 my 3rd.)

But it's been hot as hell out there+wearing all your gear and being fully clothed. I used to live in Yuma Arizona as well so I know dry heat, but since I visited Florida and moved out to Chicago I hate it so much more.

We're actually having nice weather in Chicago. It's been "cold" in comparison to last year. This year we had a harsh winter, cool summer, and **** rain thunderstorms.

Right now, it should be 95 degrees + humidity. Every single day. So we're lucky.

I hear ya - we're getting the same thing in cleveland. It's been nice

Yes...there aren't too many people around that do it. It doesn't really scare me though...lol...I like going for a swing on my climbing line just for **** and giggles.;) I've always got at least one point of attachment, usually two, so I generally feel pretty confident up there.

I use to be the same way..fearless. I guess thats how you become a good climber. over the years I've seen a lot happen, and in this line of work - **** happens. Not too long ago a guy - right down the street from me died in an accident. tree service owner, about my age, trying to set a line in a tree from his bucket. slipped out and fell 60 ft. He left behind a wife and 2 young kids. I thank my lucky stars everyday that I haven't been seriously hurt yet. His accident could have been avoided, but there are so many unknown circumstances in this industry that could lead to the same result.
