Just wondering if I'm the only one. tried about 8 times now and it goes through the whole process to say it failed and need to restart. was wondering if any one else has had this problem and how they fixed it, have tried all the windows advise to no avail.

I downloaded it, screwed up everything. I uninstalled it and everything worked perfectly again. No thanks!Political Correctness'.........defined

Not to impressed with it in my other computers, it seem it takes time to get up to speed and get going.

Windows....got to love it? Did you see the joke about the US weather service joining forces with Bill Gates in an attempt to control weather patterns?
Essentially they fly a plane into the eye of a hurricane and drop a copy of Vista into it...thus causing a systems crash shutting down the hurricane! No #8 for me....we just bought a new netbook (now with an 11.6" screen)....I choose to remain with the scaled down version of XP for now! Nice size for travel and late-middle-aged eyes...full screen helps!

The upgrade to IE 8 worked fine for me but it is slow....and hangs... and is slow...

My girlfriend hates it. It seems to work better and better with time on vista but my laptop just does not want it.

I'm using IE8 with XP Pro on my laptop. Excellent so far. No problems upgrading from IE7, and no problems using. Very stable and very effective IME, and this from a former Firefox user, who no longer regrets not being able to use FF any more (it's not compatible with my fingerprint reader software).Alea jacta est!

I've had installed for a month or 2 and no problems so far."They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Installed fine for me on XP and Vista.
It seems a little slower than 7 and every now and then it hangs and won't load a page. Have to shut down the browser and restart it to solve the issue. No install issues on 2 laptops and desktop.

Guess I'll have to try installing IE8 now. Haven't had the urge. I've been swapping around between IE7, Safari, FF, and Chrome.
By the way. Honestly I can't recall a time I've had a crash in Vista x64 Ult, since i installed it about a year and a half ago. OMG has it been that long! Oh crap where has the time gone. If yall would stop visiting those **** sites , you're computer wouldn't keep getting crabs.____________________

Went with the ACER. We bought a smaller one for our 11 year old to use over a half-year ago...and it's been error free with the scaled down version of XP and Service pack 2?
From what I hear ASUS and ACER really have this market. ACER, is, I think, a Taiwanese firm that manufactures on the mainland?
