1. No affiliation.
2. I bid these up to $250, decided the 800 mile round trip wouldn't be worth it.
3. Thought I'd pass along the info:

Too bad shipping for me on the east coast would go for nearly 400 dollars. That seems way high to me using ebays freight calculator.

I asked him about the shipping... If ups is used for shipping that figure would be cut considerably, however for such a speaker, local is best

He actually offered them to me but when I said I was from the east coast he did not want to ship them. Someone in California is going to get a nice set of speakers.

As per some friendly advice, I've decided to buy the speakers and sort the details out (source, amp, pre-amp) later.

They're also great for HT, and very easy to upgrade.(one tweeter). I was very impressed with mine.

These would be perfect for the guys complaining about the unrealisticly wide soundstage of their SDAs. I'd think the single dimensional driver would add some width and presence, but not like an array.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
    Oppo BDP-83SE

I'll be sure to let you know what I think. I'll be dealing with a relatively small soundstage (wall is sub 15ft wide). Can't wait to pick them up. I'm leaving tonight late to get into Tahoe bright and early at 8am.

Ron, you hit the nail on the head. With most stereo recordings, it does just as you described. With surround encoded material, they put the sound anywhere in the room. Far left or right, even behind. I love 'em.

Well, I get 150 miles north of Los Angeles on the 5 freeway and guess what happens? I hit a chuckhole (I **** you not) six inches deep. I have never seen a more POS highway in my life, and I've driven in most of the US either myself or shotgun with my dad.

Anyway, the force knocks the air out of my tire. No problem, I think. I'll just reseat the tire against the rim and be on my marry way. I swap out the flat for the donut (god I hate these things) and make my way to the truck stop I passed 10 miles ago. 3 hours later, no luck. And of course, since it's 3:30am, no tire shops are open.

Now I'm not about to drive the remaining 350 miles on a spare smaller than most motorcycle tires at 50 miles per hour. So I call it quits and decided to sleep a few hours, wake up in the morning, hit up the tire shop and continue on.

But no, I try three tire shops. The first two say them don't even have the tools to help me. The last (who was a really nice guy) tried to reseat the rim but showed me that there was actually a cut from were the tire rubbed against the side of the pothole. So with nothing in my tire size, I have no choice but to turn my **** around and drive 150 miles back home.

Where's all this going you might ask, I call the seller, explain what happened and he says sure, I can come up tomorrow... and then he does this ****:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/polk-audio-sda-srs-3-1-tl-complete-components-wiring_W0QQitemZ150360676656QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSpeakers_Subwoofers?hash=item230231d930&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A2|39%3A1|72%3A1234|293%3A1|294%3A50

I'm done with this guy. If I were any of you, I'd stay away from him. I wasted enough time, energy and money. I hope you guys don't have to go through the same non sense.
