Last night my nephew was in a serious car wreck. They were T-boned by a delivery truck at about 55-60 mph. He has a minor concussion, broken ribs and elbow. They had to be cut out of the car.
He's banged up and resting at home now. His Mom and I thank God. He'll be fine.

His friend did not make it.
A few prayers for Jesse, my nephew. And all the others and more for Gregs family. He was a great kid.
Thank you all.

Update. Jesse is up and moving, slowly of course, today. It's been a steady stream of friends and family all day. We met with Gregs family and talked about the upcoming sevices and other things. Still stings....

The service and funeral happened today. It wasn't about a young man being taken away from us. It was about what Greg had done while he was here. He worked at a retirement community and made friends with everyone who lived or worked there. He helped me get Jesse into a GED program. He helped Jesse.
Greg pulled himself from a not so good homelife, graduated high school and was working on an occupational therapy degree.
My sister and I raised Jesse, the best we could. But this young man saw something more. And gave Jesse a chance.....

    He was only 18.
