so far my experiance with e warehouse is this - my sub was shipped out last thurs, 1 week ago today. e-mailed them a couple days ago to see what the status is. got an e-mail back today saying it should have been there, oh btw, here's a tracking number. called ups and they said it was shipped to my address... in california. right address- wrong state. ups said it was the sellers error, not theirs. who knows, but it was corrected today and I might get it by next thurs? I hope my new mit ic's don't end up in alaska. sorry folks, had to vent... won't be posting on my new sub anytime soon, if it arrives here in 1 piece after touring the country a couple times

Sorry to hear that man. Hopefully you get it in good condition. I think that I've bought from e warehouse before without any problems, but I don't know that for certain. Keep us in tune.

    The wrong state????

Geez, that is about as rich as stories from folks in New Mexico who always get fools who say that phone orders can't be shipped to foreign countries.

[I used to live in New Mexico - loved it there]

We'll keep our fingers crossed for you - but we still expect the full report when the sub shows up! :D

thanks Erik, it's almost funny - they sent it to my address in a city called OHIO CITY california.... close - but no cigar. Oh well, my new cables should be in before the sub now, and I will post my thoughts - on the sub only - not the seller or ups...

unpacked and hooked it up. my first impression is it is a very large sub. I really don't have the experiance to compare it against others, unfortunatly I never got to listen to the svs. My old sub is, well.. no comparison. I tried it where my old sub was, and it was a little too big crammed in the corner, although it sounded pretty good there. (a little on the boomy side) I than moved it between my tv and a9 against the wall and the boominess was gone. Much richer deep base after setting the optimizer to "wall". My room is acoustically challenging as the seating (couch and loveseat) almost divides the room in half. The back half of the room -bar area opposite of tv and gear- always sounds best- where as the actual seating the sound isn't as good, kinda in your face. I can only work on tweeking speeker placement as furniture re-arranging isn't that feasable. I've listened to it with a couple different movies (apocalypto, dawn of the dead) and I must say - this is a fantastic sub. Haven't tried it with music yet, but so far it delivers a nice solid base that I've been missing out on. The remote is a nice touch too, the blinking light will take a little getting used to. I still have a LOT of tweeking to do with the sub and avr settings, just thought I'd post my initial thoughts. Love it :)
