And while there at, please hit craigslist, too. They never deleted sold postings either.

But at least on Craigslist the seller can remove the posting. Here, the seller does not have the ability to mark it "SOLD", which seems silly.

We use to be able to do that, but when Justin decided to remove the edit feature, which we can thank Ben for, that meant we couldn't edit a for sale ad to mark it sold either.

I've bought a few items from the members here and have never had a problem. The only eff up I remember was a commit to purchase an item from Joe (HI). We talked it through and he was nothing but understanding. Class act. It's been nothing but good trades with those I have come to know here.
You all suck, but I'll still buy stupid audio stuff from you bunch of hacks.

I think you do not have a think to worry about. I don't have much chance to buy from CP members being in Canada makes it a bit harder to make a good deal however, this forum has been a guidleine for pricing (you know the proper pricing just buy lurking). As far as I am concerned, you are safer here than street dealing or any other internet deals (IE: eBay). As above mentioned, common sense is your garantee, you buy from members that have good rating/standing, that are respected, backed-up by other members and you've got it made. Personally, I wish it would be feasable for me to do so, I wouldn't go anywhere else!

    Cheers!

From OP I never said I got ripped off and I believe the probability of that happening is pretty low here. I guess the biggest problem here is with the newbs and their inability to understand the unwritten rules.

I'm sure whoever he sold to is getting what they should. The problem is as he stated that I "disappeared" for 24 hours and he sold to someone else.(Sorry, I'm too fat to just disappear:eek:) Around here we give each other the benefit of the doubt when there is a little bit of time from initial contact to actual payment. Plus,if you quote someone a price and give info on how to pay then in my book there's a contract and it should be honored in a certain amount of time. One day is not an unreasonable amount of time due to work or other responsibilities.

But,that's the way the vet's roll around here. The newbs should give the benefit of the doubt to those who have multiple transactions or who have been around for awhile.

Lets just say that I will not mess around with any newbs as far as purchasing anything anymore.
