And I have been messing around with them for 2 days now. I currently have a few MX series remotes around the house. I use a Mx850 in my bedroom which I had a mx800 and upgraded with a mrf350 for RF control. I had a MRF250. Actually I still have both in my basement and I programmed them for house control but don't really use them that much.

I have a mx950 to control the theater gear and the house. I also mate it with a MRF400 for system control.

Now the mx6000 and PSX-2 Ipod dock. Well the Pioneer ELite SC-07 has the ability to connect a Ipod direct in the front and it has onscreen display on the tv. The PSX dock also displays on the tv with better graphics and on the mx6000 which is pretty cool. It connects to the system VIA Component made by me a Audioquest 4 foot MAC 3. Then for audio I have a 4 foot made by me Audioquest ITA 1.1. There is IR control in the back if I want to control the dock with my mx950 and use the TV's interface. The mx6000 I control with IP. The dock has a network 45 connector on the back and I'm jacked in T568b over my Apple Extreme gigabit network.

The mx6000 has to connect to the network then to the dock. It works pretty good and it's slighty quick, I wouldn't call it fast or slow but it's kinda in the middle.

Sound quality is ok, I prefer the ipod jacked in the front of the SC-07, I feel it sounds much better. The PSX-2 dock I gotta find out how it's doing the Digital to analog conversion. Is it using the Ipod's??? which I would say no or are they built in?Quality??? might be some generic DAC's. They don't sound the same as the SC-07's by no means. I feel they should have offered HDMI out or at least Optical/Coax out so you can use a external DAC like the ELite's Wolfson's.

Video now you have the ability to display video over your ipod. I was disappointed that the SC-07 doesn't support video from the ipod. I find that slightly disturbing. So you have to give up audio performance to gain video. Is it really necessary? Not really , I don't do much video on my ipods but it just would be nice to rock it once in awhile.

I'm feeling a Apple TV might be a better way to go if I want to use Itunes on the system. The Ipod dock by Universal PSX-2 is cool with the mx6000 but I'm not sure if it's for me. I'm gonna play with it more this week and I'll report my feelings then. I'm gonna do some A B listening with some good tracks and see how different they sound better worse or just different.

The mx6000 is a very cool remote but I'm also slighty disappointed in it. My mx950 does everything I want it to do. I can control my lights , system , and anything else IR I have. I use the MSC400 to control everything and the mx6000 also talks to it flawlessly. I just dropped it into the program, made some adjustments to my file and away it goes. RF is very good on the mx6000. The screen is really nice with many cool looking button color and layouts. But again I'm not a huge touch screen guy. I can't run camera's on it like I can with ELAN , SAVANT and CRESTRON but it doesn't cost there prices either.

Again I'm gonna rock the mx6000 all week and see if it's a fit, if not it goes back to the shop and I keep what I'm currently using. I want a new control but I'm not sure if this is the right choice. You have to look at it every time you wanna use it except the hard buttons.

I would have liked a MENU hard button, but I can program one of the 6 programmable buttons for that use. I don't know we shall see.

What is everyone using for there control? house control? Lighting control?
