Any opinions on how the following ICs would compare up:
* Audioquest Diamondbacks
* Kimber Kable Heros
* MIT AVT-1s

Thanks!

    MIT all the way.

    I used to hear minor differences in cables until I tried MIT. The AVT1 is a very nice cable.

    You will get answers all over the board because sometimes its simply a "synergy" issue. If you can try all 3 and sell the 2 you prefer less, that's the best way to do it.

    "Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul!

    I really like the Kimber Hero's out of the 3 you chosen but the above advise is the way to go. Synergy is where it's at.

    I recently converted all my IC's and speaker cables to MIT and I am very happy with the sound. Plus with the sale MIT is having you can find some nice deals for cheap.

    I am using the Kimber Kable Heros XLR in .5 and 1 meter length. I have no complaints at all with the sound. On the other hand I have no experience with the other models, so they very well might be better, worse, or the same.

    Thanks for the opinions, guys.

    I've seen some MIT AVT-1s show up on audiogon that are juuusttt inside my budget - I may give those a shot.

    The Heros sound nuetral and open to my ears. Previous to these I used Signal Cable classics. Just for fun, I'm purchasing some DH Labs Air Matrix IC's to do a shoot out.

    It might be awhile, but I'm half way there. I've got one Matrix between my pre and amp, I just need one more for my cdp to pre. I don't buy anything new anymore, so I'm patiently waiting for one to pop up on the 'Gon.
