Unbelievable!!! Very sad, but who was this 20 year old woman who was also found dead with McNair. McNair's family didn't seem to know much about her. I'm just saying, rest in peace. I hope this doesn't end as an ugly media event.

I was?am a huge McNair fan. From a football standpoint that guy played with more guts than most Qb's in our modern era. He always seemed to be injured, yet on Sunday's he would strap on his helmet and play, never complaining.

    RIP Steve

Too late. Evidently the 20 year old was his GF. He bought her an Escalade that she was arrested in two days ago for DUI with McNair as the passenger. He later bailed her out of jail.

It appears to be a murder/suicide. He has multiple gunshot wounds and she only one. The gun was found near her body.

The GFs ex boyfriend has been talking.

Hmmm, married with 4 kids and maintaining a separate residence and a girlfriend ..... that's usually a recipe for a disaster of some kind. Now the news says the GF bought the semi-auto handgun 2 days prior, and that one of the head shots and both body shots were from a distance. Unless you've got experience/practice, it's not that easy to just buy a handgun and make a head-shot (and in the temple per the news reports) from even 10' away. Something just doesn't seem right about this.

Actually, I think they're reporting something closer to 3' at this point. Though I may be mistaken....
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

If you've never shot a handgun before, it would be easy to miss at 3' depending on the type of gun and caliber!

... maybe for you, but at three feet I could do it blindfolded by simply listening to the sound of a voice. If she held the gun aimed towards his head, better than 80%of the time it would be a hit.

She probably didn't even know how to hold the gun let alone hit a target as small as a head.

three feet is not that far... and it is quite obvious at this point she knew more than you think, as police are not seeking other suspects.

Well...it's official according to the police. Murder/Suicide.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police confirmed Wednesday that ex-NFL star Steve McNair's 20-year-old girlfriend killed him before turning the gun on herself.

They said they may never know what was going through Sahel Kazemi's mind when she shot McNair in his condominium early Saturday, but interviews with friends led detectives to conclude she was becoming increasingly distraught over events in her life, including financial problems. Police said she also suspected McNair was seeing another woman.

Police earlier had labeled McNair's death a homicide, but awaited further tests and investigation before saying for sure what happened.

At one point, Kazemi told an associate that her "personal life was all screwed up," Police Chief Ronal Serpas said. She had mounting debts and had been unable to sell her car. Her roommate was moving, which would have doubled her rent.

"We do know that she was clearly sending a message during the last five to seven days of her life that things were going bad quickly," Serpas said, though there was no indication she told anyone she planned to harm McNair.

Serpas said police believe McNair was asleep on a sofa when Kazemi shot him in the head. She then apparently shot him twice in the chest before shooting him again in the head and then shooting herself.

    Also from the ME.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nashville's assistant medical examiner says gunpowder residue was found on the hands of Steve McNair's girlfriend, who was found dead alongside the slain former NFL star. Assistant medical examiner Feng Li said Wednesday the test results make it even more likely that 20-year-old Sahel Kazemi shot McNair and herself, but he stopped short of confirming it was a murder-suicide.
