I've been looking into a multi channel amp for awhile now & I keep going back to the NAD M25 7-channel amp. I've looked at a number of other multi-channel amps (B&K, Rotel, Anthem, Parasound, Wyred4Sound, Sunfire) & a couple of others as well. Something keeps drawing me back to the NAD M25. I haven't heard one in my system yet, but I'm partial to the NAD sound. Any thoughts on the amp. It's a true beast & the eye candy factor is off the charts as well. It gets nothing but stellar reviews even though it's only rated at 160w per channel. NAD is very, very concervative in their power ratings so that power number isn't even an issue as far as I'm concerned.

Early B, & cfrizz, I'm finally taking your advice on going with a multi-channel amp!!! It just took me awhile that's all!! :D

    Phil,

If their M-series integrated had been common ground, I'd probably be able to tell you something. But I got a Cary instead. :D

I find your decision to be very consistant with mine, I also put a list together and at the end I bought the one I always wanted. In my case it was the sunfire. I like that it was multichanel, and that it could drop down to to 2ohm if necessary. what I kept on thinking is that I wanted an external amp that was not back breaking to move.
I would say go for it, if you don't you will always wounder what if...

It does fit the bill nicely for what I'm looking for...all except for it's back breaking weight. It weighs in at a tad over 95lb. Set it & forget would have to be the way to go.

I'm still looking at 5-7 channel amps, but the M25 is riding on top of my list right now. Now I see that NAD has a new digital amp coming out, the M2 which is a two channel amp. I didn't see mentioned if it will be available as a multi channel though. It's pretty pricey though! Any thoughts or opinions on other multi channel amps besides the usual suspects? :)
