with the exception of the Pass, you need to have a dump truck haul away the sand to someone else, up your budget and get a Manley Rig.

I hear ya Ted, but for a secondary rig that's probably not going to happen at this point and time"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul! -
Well, one either cares about the sound or not, since I cannot have a decent office rig cuz its too loud (even if its "soft" in my mind) for folks in the office here I just listen to the horrid pc and its squeaky little speakers, its awful sounding but its turned down very low, most time I just leave it off its so bad.
The poor quality of PC and USB is stark, talk about a flat no presence stage, awful stuff. If I could play it louder something with a fire wire I suspect would be much better.
