A local Spokane lady is competing in a Food Network cooking challenge and she needs more votes. She is currently in 11th place.. to qualify she needs to make it into the top 10.

her dish is Mexican-Style Cioppino.

    I'm sure she's a deserving person DB, and from the little I know about you (from reading your posts) I trust your judgment, but inherently, wouldn't that be cheating?

    Cheating? Do you really think people that vote on this web page have tried the recipes? Or even read the them? The person that gets the most votes is probably the person that gets the news to the largest network.

    The criteria for voting is whether or not you like the recipe not whether it's better than something else or whether you have actually eaten it.

    I voted yes.

    Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

    don't read so much into it Kex. But yes.. bottom line it's a popularity contest for the most part.

    I rarely ask for help to do good for a local person. I would have no problem doing this same type of vote if someone here asked.

    Having spent my first 40 yrs in Seattle and now 10 here in Tucson, that cioppino is right up my alley.

    I love seafood with a kick.
    My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.
