I just saw that myself. And was wondering who was going to catch this...as I was sure a thread would appear here.

Late June seems to have become a version of the "Killing Fields" this year!

I read it here on the forum first and then the web and tv confirmed it..WOW..

What a shame..:(. I truly think he was a nice guy at heart. I'm glad the pitch men show came out so we could see he was really nice and calm behind the sceens...Rumor from a tv station down there said he was hit on the head during that hard landing in that plane. A slow brain aneurysm most likely or slow hemorrhage..
Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

I also had been watching the Pitchmen show off and on and he seemed like a really nice guy. I only wish it was Vince instead of him...

My kids love the commercials and try to get me to buy the stuff, such as Mighty Putty, after they see him yelling on TV. (Maybe my kids watch too much TV...)

Yesterday Billy was on a flight that landed very hard, blowing out some tires. A piece of luggage came down from the overhead bin and hit him on the head. He seemed OK but said he wasn't feeling well before he went to sleep and a guy he talked to on the phone said he was slurring his words. It looks like the same thing that killed Natasha Richardson a few months back. Bleeding inside the skull. Very sad when you think about it.

If he was slurring his words, it was already too late. the Airline should have insisted he recieve medical attention... Sounds like a major lawsuit.

I believe everyone was checked out after the hard landing by a doctor and Billy, like Natasha showed no signs of internal bleeding. The autopsy will reveal all and there willbe lawsuits, unless he died of natural causes.

I could not stand to listen to him when he pitched something but when I heard him on tv NOT pitching anything he seemed like a nice guy.

A blow to the head, regardless of perceptions at the scene should have been examined by a qualified physician. If none was provided, the airline screwed up, period.

yeah i'm thinking that airline will be sued big time. but yeah.. why did he not seek medical attention.. esp when slurring his words?

He was slurring his words on a phone call from his home some length of time after the landing.

There was a doctor available to examine passengers. Mays said he felt fine and "had a hard head". Difficult to force 200+ passengers to undergo a thorough medical exam at an airport.

Still, I'm sure there will be lawsuits. Won't help Billy. Never bought the products and hated the loud in-your-face delivery but I did occasionally watch the Pitchmen show. He seemed like a nice guy.

Bad things happen in 3s? 150,000 people die every day. Did that happen in 3's 50,000 times? :)
