I would advise against this, but if you really HAVE to then make sure it's tab tensioned. The pull down screens will develop waves and will look like S!

Wood floors are fine. Wall to wall carpet can make things too dead.
A little acoustic treatments on the walls, some furniture covering the floor, maybe an area carpet if it needs damped down. -
