Blown? Rm2300

Hello everyone. I recently upgraded my amp to a pioneer VSX-818V so I could get a true multi channel signal. This amp did not seem to have the same output as my old Technics. If you ran the amp up medium loud to hear some movies it would go into an oscillation/feedback with a really loud screech. I think it blew my right front speaker because now it has a crackle in it. I moved that speaker to the left rear and get the same sound. I put back my old Technics and get better sound all around but I still have the crackle. I've disassembled the speaker and looked for damage (blown cap or torn cones) but do not see anything (I figured I probably wouldn't). The speaker cabinet contains two speakers the tweeter and a driver. Anyone have any ideas one how to verify which speaker is bad in the cabinet (tweeeter or driver) before I order both? Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forum. You can hook just the tweeter up directly to the speaker wires at a VERY low volume [with the speaker in question] to see if the issue is present.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

Or you can hold a pillow over each driver and listen as well.Main Surround -
