Help with sub connection

Hi, was wondering if anyone could help with a simple question. After renovating my family room and installing 7 ceiling speakers for 7.1 surround I realized I have not run the sub connection. I purchsed a Denon AVR688 and a PSW1000. In attempting to hook them up I see that they have 2 different types of connector. The PSW 1000 has regular R L hookups and the AVR688 has a sub out rca connector. How does one go about hooking these units up together. Anhy help would be appreciated.

The way I would do it would be to get a sub cable and plug it into the subwoofer pre-out (located in the middle of your AVR on the bottom) on the back of the AVR and then plug it into the LFE IN input on the back of the sub (located under the line L/R IN) on the back of the sub. You could also get a splitter cable and run it from the sub pre-out on the back of the sub to the L/R IN on the back of the sub, but I would recommend the LFE method. Welcome to Club Polk.HT Rig

As mentioned it would be recommended you utilize your LFE because it bypasses your Sub's crossover/etc and you can just tweak those settings on your AVR.Truck setup
