Sda srs 1.2

$1000 for the pair. Local pickup (located in Chandler) preferred. I'll consider delivery/meeting on an individual situation basis if necessary. Any shipment would be on you...the most I would do is deliver them "as is" to a local facility that would sign to verify they are in the described condition at that point.
I'm definitely not the 1st/only owner of these...but they're in great shape. These are not the TL version.
I purchased these via drunken text about 2 years ago with Wes's help, then proceeded to forgot about them. They ended up in Bill's hands who graciously delivered them about 9 months ago. Since then I've had them hooked up and thoroughly enjoyed them, but not enough to consider moving with them. I'm not going anywhere in the next couple of weeks, but will probably be moving in the next few months and would like to get these into someone else's hands now before it becomes a last minute thought. Although I don't frequent this forum any longer, I've had great transactions, conversations, and meetings with many of the members here...therefore, I'd rather see these stay "in the family."
Let me know what you think and if you have any questions. Thanks!

how does one tell the difference between the original SRS, the 1.2's and the TL's?
If they are 1.2's how difficult would it be to bring them to TL spec?
If they can be brought up to TL spec, please place me on the interested list. The Gear... About $300 to $500 for crossover upgrade, and $400 for the RDO198's
Yes they can be brought up to TL upgrade, This is what i am doing with mine now. -
the tl's have sl 3000 tweeters not sure on the original srs and 1.2
ask TOOLFORLIFEFAN bout the tl upgrade as he is doing that very thing with his I believe -
damn your fast Larry!

After looking at the pics, are you sure they are the 1.2's? The crossover cover plate looks like the original SRS's, but i do know Polk is good at using the parts that are there to get the job done.

Must be SRS, not 1.2's if you say so. I'm not an SDA expert and thought the 1.2 designated this size... -
is the cost to upgrade srs the same as 1.2's? can it even be done? The Gear... Those are definitely SDA SRS's and priced accordingly. No, they can not be upgraded to 1.2 or 1.2TL statis.Political Correctness'.........defined

In the interest of learning more about SDA's (for us newbies out there), why can't they be upgraded. Sorry in advance for the stupid question."The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it." Neil deGrasse Tyson. -

$1000.00 is a very good price for these though and some members actually prefer the sound of the original SDA SRS and I believe if my memory serves me correctly that these actually play a little bit lower in the Bass department then the 1.2TL's.
REGARDS SNOWWell, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all -
Basically the only upgrade you can do is change out the tweeters to RDO 194's on a SDA SRS. Is that correct?Polk HT system 1: LSIC, LSI25 mains, LSI F/X rears, Lsi F/X rear centers,

eh,, you might want to upgrade the caps and resistors in the crossover,, pop in some RDO,, then pay attention to your source and downstream components--good luck,,and enjoy.JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

srs and tls there's a slight cabinet structure difference internally correct? " He who dies with the most equipment wins Right ? "

I have two sets of 1.2tl's. One I plan on modding the crossovers and going the RDO 198 route. I have a set of 1.2's and they are very similar sounding to the original SRS speakers I used to own. The thing about the 1.2's is that they are easier to drive being 6 ohm speakers. If I had to pick between the original SRS and 1.2's, I would take the 1.2's and yes they do seem to have a deeper bass sound to them than the 1.2tl's. They cannot beat the 1.2tl's in the mid's or highs in my opinion. All of the SRS big boys are great in there own right.Polk HT system 1: LSIC, LSI25 mains, LSI F/X rears, Lsi F/X rear centers,
