Waxed the LSi's!

So the previous owner of my LSi25's managed to get a few scuffs on the ebony wood finish and on the black lacquer finish. I wasn't sure if I should have attempted this, but a bit of dark Old English finished the wood surface perfectly and a light compound with a caranuba paste wax shined up the black surface like a mirror!
Anybody else done this? My wife thought I had lost my marbles when she saw me waxing the speakers, but she was very happy with the finished product.

Actually the Older models were lacquer or single stage black enamel and the newer ones were BC/CC...
Either or should play nicely with wax. A cleaner wax usually works best for taking out imperfections. I use Maguires.

If you want a real wet look that lasts longer try a sealant or polymer. Menzerna's Full Molecular Jacket is the only synethic wax that survives for longer than a couple months out in the 100 degree plus heat where I am. Another good option would be Optimum's Poli Seal. I have a ton of the FMJ laying around if anyone wants an ounce to try out. If you want to stick with storebought go with Klasse AIO, less greasy than a solid or liquid carnuaba.

I assume you are running them backwards? (so the woofers and tweeters are on the outside) They are quite shiny though....Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)

Backwards? Subs are firing away from the wall unit. Left speaker is on the left side and right speaker is on the right side. Not sure I understand what you're asking.THE SYSTEM
