Was watching the movie The Untouchables and the music in the scene where Sean Connery dies (Vesti La Giubba), got me thinking of this topic. Here are a few that give me the chills no matter how many times I listen to them. What songs give you the chills?

"Olympic Fanfare" by Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops. No video or you-tube unfortunately. On an accurate system, the hairs on the back of your neck will stand up. Then come the goose bumps. I have the Telarc version FYI.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

The guitar solo makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up...simply one of the greatest pieces ever played on guitar IMO.
Also, the Grateful Dead's show on 7-20-94 in Deer Creek, Indiana. An incredibly show, and towards the end of Jerry's life...almost the entire second set sends chills down my spine. The nirvana inducer-

Thanks for all the input so far. Really cool to find out some old/new tunes that you all enjoy. Today was the last day of school for my children. One is going to be in high school next year and the other in 8th grade. Seems like just yesterday they were born. Where does the time go?????????? This song makes the hair on my arms stand up.

I really like this as well. Most anything by Pavarotti is awesome. His voice is simply amazing. Some of the things he could do are awe-inspiring. -

The Sound of Animals Fighting - Act IV: You Don't Need a Witness
In my ears, this entire album is amazingly recorded and produced. The part that always sends the chill to me is about a minute into this track when it calms down and Anthony Greene (The Skunk) starts singing. Goosebumps. His voice and the clarity of the recording is just unreal.I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

These vids are great. I was about to get off the computer but now I am hooked on watching and looking for more, lol. The Ray Charles vid was great, thanks. In keeping with patriotic music here is one I really like. Could not find it anywhere so I uploaded it to my account to make things easier. Takes a few to buffer. She is singing it in the same church as when she did the Amazing Grace video I posted earlier. Talk about everything sounding just right.......at the end when she sings 'free' I get chills.

According to Pavarotti's biography, Mario Delmonaco was his idol. Here is a clip that will give you chills.
