Hey, I've had my 2 Polk Sr124 Dvc's for about 5-6 months now and ever since the beginning there has been a weird rattle noise that you hear every time it hits. Its not only one but both subs do it. Is it normal or is something wrong? Its in a sealed enclosure. It sound as if i can hear the voice coils inside hitting but not sure.

    First,

you didn't need to post this exact same thing in two threads.

    Second,

check for foreign matter inside the enclosure. Is it clipping? Check your gains. Push on the cones with the amp off and see if either scratches. If they do, the voice coil is blown. Check to see if maybe a dust cap is loose as well.

Ok, but its weird because at first i only bought one SR and i got my second one a month later and they both have the same issue. Could it be the enclosure?

Just put your ear up to it and see where the rattling is coming from.

I've tried that but couldn't figure it out. One the Polk site there is a customer review in which a customer says that his sub made a weird "rattle" noise which turned out to be the wires leading from the terminal to the voice coil bouncing against the cone and each other. He taped each pair of wires together with electrical tape and the rattling stopped.

That would fall under the first post I replied: Check for foreign matter inside. If the wires are slapping, they're too long or could use a zip tie.
