    Sniping program? I dunno....
I did hear on a reputable radio program about the ultra-complicated rating system of stars Ebay uses to rate the sellers. There a red stars, yellow stars, blue stars, yellow stars, red shooting stars, yellow shooting stars, and so on...so just because you see 5 stars, doesn't mean you are dealing with the "best" seller. I have not had a chance to locate the rating scale on Ebay, but thought this was interesting...

I understand you frustration. The bottom line with bidding---well, is your bottom line. I don't worry about getting sniped, I put the maximum I'm willing to pay and I either get it or I don't.

This is the only way to bid on ebay IMO!

just go polk direct. Your supporting the company directly with a great deal, and you will not be disapointed with the refurb.

While this frustrates me on ebay, I do this on Craigslist all the time. Honestly the stuff on there is not a 'necessity', which I find funny how some of you are saying you 'need' this or that and are upset that someone sniped it. You don't need it. If you did, you'd buy it retail or outbid them, but theres nothing of necessity in these items.

I get outbid or beaten to items on Craigslist all the time. But a sometimes when I get a sweet deal on something, I do get it just to resell it (like the 37" 1080p for $300 or the 42" 720p for $200). It's a free economy and right now we'll do whatever it takes to make a little extra cash.

Never bid on anything until there's about 15 seconds left, and bid what you would be happy paying.

That's what I do. Bidding before then is pointless.

+1. This is all the ebay strategy you need to know. Know what it's worth to you, don't get into a game of last one wins. There's free bid-sniper software you can set up to do it if you're not going to be paying attention.
