Very cool. It's amazing to think how far back that dates. Back then recording sound was an incredible concept, and these days people barely even think twice about how amazing of a concept it really is.The nirvana inducer-

The authors, however, are adding insult to injury to torment the unfortunate inventor, since a French surname such as Scott de Martinville would never be abbreviated to just Scott. The only accepted abbreviation of such a name is de Martinville.Alea jacta est!
