Is it just me, or can people like this go the hell back where they came from?

I wrote them an email on how I feel about this.

Next, they won't let you fly a flag on your own property for fear that it might insult or offend some illegals living next door.

    EDIT: Email sent.

I just called the 800 #. Seems that option 4 is no longer valid. And HR voicemail is no longer taking calls. I hope some heads roll tomorrow.

I am currently on my third deployment to a combat zone (1 Afghanistan, 2 Iraq) and I can't believe that anyone that comes here to make a "better life" for themselves would or could be offended by the symbol of the country they are in. Alot of people had to die for them to even have the ability to prosper in the greatest country in the world. I could talk about this subject all day and I promise that I would upset alot of people so all I'm going to say is this...if you don't like what this country stands for then get the hell out!!!

I sent an e-mail as well, yes...I used restraint.

This is very disturbing....with a Marine son serving his 2nd tour in Iraq now and a nephew with 2 tours in Afghanistan, that an AMERICAN company would not allow an employee to display their patriotism especially around the Memorial Day season.

Just showed my wife the video......very long e-mail sent....by wife....don't piss off the mother of a Marine!!!

DO your part....don't forget to send care packages to the troops overseas.

I am pretty sure George is responsible for allegiance to the Flag and all it stands for, I suppose which George can be left to the individual.

I salute the lady who put up the flag and the hospital for re-considering their position in spite of whatever fears their legal staff may have planted. Still, the offended lady who took the flag down and then left it laying on the ground should face some misdemeanor charges and possibly lose her supervisory position, I would not feel she is someone this company might want to hold up as an example of a successful minority female in the USA.

Currently i reside in the US, so this is my home now, i was bit upset at church when we sang the great Patriotic songs of America on the Memorial Day in honour of the lives of those great freedom fighters and other men and women in services, some of the folks asked me and my wife dont you feel somewhat when you sing like our 'fathers land....' i see nothing wrong in that,
This is a great country which has given a lot to the world and still giving inspite of its own hardships at home, If the person concerned is offended by the flag, in my view which represents every individual who has lived in this country and still living in this country, he /she should just get out to the place where he /she belongs. I am restraining from using some good words, I have deep and sincere respect for this country, am sure lot of people dont have any good will or feeling towards this country but still live and earn and make enough money here and become like BRUTUS i would just end with a not for those people "et tu Brutus"

    Following email sent:
This is in regards to the AMERICAN flag. I know you changed your stance somewhat, and came out with a BS excuse that it was the size that was at issue. As a vet, and a family full of vets I am appalled at this, especially on this holiday that is to honor the sacrifices made by so many, and ask that the person that took the flag down and placed it on the floor be disciplined, preferably fired, for removal of private property. Surly she broke a policy by taking it upon herself to do this instead of reporting it.

Also I am contacting my congressman to see if there is anything that can be done to deny any federal money that is considered for your establishment.
    Very disappointed

That flag should have a team of voluntary Marines pick up, salute, then properly fold that particular flag to be sent off in a police/military escorted caravan to be delivered to the best laundry facility in the state [paid for, of course by the supervisor]. Once the flag is restored to it's original beauty, the disgrace is washed off and honor is put back into the flag, it should be properly folded back up and hand delivered by a Marine back to the employee.

Then, the employee should have every right in this wonderful country to kindly shove the flag pole right up the supervisor's rear **** as far as it will possibly go.......and then some.....just before she hands him/her the termination notice and a plane ticket out of the country.

E-mail to be sent. Not a very nice one either.

Although I am not a supporter of overly jingoistic pride or displays as I feel they make us forget about our common identity as one species rather than a world of separate Nation states. It is indeed absurd that someone cannot post an American flag in their office! Especially when everyone in the office is an American. How can anyone find that 'offensive'? Even though my own politics may differ from many here; this is RIDICULOUS! Plain and simple. We do have certain rights in this country. Almost every institution I know of raises and lowers the flag at dawn and dusk. Where one must take care is in identifying with the flag to the point where it replaces something like 'God' who certainly doesn't see Nation states! But Human Beings!

Nonetheless I find myself in agreement with most everything above.

You the greatest freedom that we have is the freedom to say what we want, and to change the government to how the people want it. If you think about it every time there is an election, it is almost a revolution of ideas. and that is what is great about America, we are not perfect, but we have the ability to grow closer to the goal of being a perfect society. If you are an American and do not like the currect state of the nation or what we are doing over sea's, it is your American duty to express your views through your freedom of speech and your ability to vote to put someone in office who will make changes you think are necessary. However, to enjoy these freedoms you must recognize two major things. One, there are people who will voluntarily give their lives so that you may have the freedom to complain about what war we are in...they died in!...how many people have ever though about that? two, because of the sacrifices made and the hell some people go through so that we may have such freedoms we must always hold this country and its symbols, and especially its soldiers it the utmost reverence. we are a country of immigrents, but we must always remember who build, rather who died for this country and our amazing lives. I pray I never have to go to war, but if I am called I will go. And untill then I thank those who give me such a great life, and I say leave to all those who do not give the proper respect to the county's symbols and soldiers, past and present.

Although I don't like that someone took down the flag - the fact that it was laid on the floor is what really gets me hot under the collar - but look at what is out there - how is someone to know what the rules are when they are constantly broken -

I see flags hung outside without a light at night....in the rain,
    Flags touching the ground
    Flags ripped and torn

but the worst is the level of disrespect shown in using our flag as a pattern on underwear, or as a bus decal..........

did anyone listen in elementary school when they were taught how to respect the flag?

I still remember the triangle folding pattern

This is the kind of **** we will all have to stand up and say OK thats it we are not going to take anymore of this crap. If you are offended by an American flag in this country get the **** out! And go back to whatever **** third world country you came from where if you complained about the flag of your country being displayed you disappear, or get beaten for speaking your mind.

Sorry for the cursing but I'm pissed!
