Sign me up too! I'm on my third pair of SDA's. Next up, a 1.2TL restoration project, when I find a pair I can afford :D
Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance.

There were some mods that needed to be made to convert the 1.2's to 1.2TL's. Polk engineering helped a bit, and the 1.2's, and 1.2TL's use the same board. I will post the mods necessary later. When all is said and done It is cheaper to convert to the 1.2TL's. I will post a thread later on the mod process. I was hoping that a measured amount of wire could be removed to decrease the inductance on the low pass arrays, but after doing two 1.2 to 1.2TL conversions an inductance meter should really be used. Please hold mod question till I write up the mod thread. I don't want to muck up TFL thread, and it would be helpful if any questions were in the mod thread.
    Thanks

    Larry,

It looks like you are missing the counter weights from your Passive Raditors.

See below at my original ones, I replaced my original ones with a never used pair that I bought from another polkie after one of my cat's tore a hole in the butyl rubber surround.

But the original ones and the new ones all had this metal counter weight on them.

    Sal

These had no counter weights.

They certainly look nothing like the stock 1.2's. They do however look just like modded 1.2TL's;)
These had no counter weights.

Don't worry. If you don't have an SPL meter get one. I will walk you through room tunning passive woofers.

I love the look of the brass Mike. The whole kit and kabuddle looks fantastic Larry. Don't forget to give those crossovers about 300 to 350 hours to burnin. It took over 350 for mine.

I like the brass, but the silk screening? I thought it would have been better in a fuchsia, or lavender. Something that states I'm pretty, but doesn't shout "I'm hot"

Well i have them up and running, and they sound great. but i know how my SDA2's sounded with time, they get better and better with time.

Listened to RUSH 2112, Now i am listening to White Zombie Astrocreep 2000.

I will say they sound better then they did before the upgrade without the burn in time.
