Well there's this and that too. ;) I think there might be some speakers involved.

The next thing from polk is going to be a replacement for the flagship lsi's. It replaces it, however I could not say that it is a step up. Newer never means better... Never...

That's a bold statement, from someone who probably knows nothing.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Wow, Polk's going to get rid of the LSi and not have a speaker of at least equal or better quality?

That's sad .... might be time to stock up on some driver replacements for your LSi's

I would not even consider this a rumor. Not even in a New York minute.

I wonder if Polk is seriously planning of having an updated/higher-end LSIs update. It seems the focus has been on gadgets/HT gears rather than moving upstream.

Now that Matt is retired, who is guiding new product development and strategy?
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

yea, I dunno about that Tom, the LSi are Susskind's, with the success of the new Micro-pro subs which were also his babies his stock at Polk should be on the rise. I do not personally like all the focus on HT stuff but they need to make money, still, I know Mark is into two channel so I would think he would want to do something, just all the red tape.

I saw where Klipsch came out with a new reference speaker in the low five figures, well reviewed by Wes Philips. Kind of doubt Polk will answer at that level but as I said at the Fest-HQ when MP asked if Polk did a new reference speaker it would float my boat, not to say my 1C's still dont sound great but it seems like speaker tech is just exploding and I still think there are some great minds at Polk even though Matt is retired. Maybe that ole effer/traitor Paul will ride his bike over to Polk with a thought.

I would comment on it further RT1, but that ol' NDA has my mouth shut. I will say nothing further on the subject.

As Paul Harvey used to say........"Good day!"
