Darla, you have our condolences. I know it's cliche' to say, but take some comfort in the fact that he isn't in pain anymore. Take care.

Sincere condolences. I'm sure he had a great life and is thankful for that. Remember the good moments you had with him.

I know the new puppy won't replace him, but he will keep you busy ;)

My thoughts are with you Darla. We've all had to go thru it with a "member" of the family and it just plain stinks.

    Hello Darla,
I'm very sorry to read of your loss. We have an organization called Alley Animals, they try and rescue dogs and cats that are abandoned in Baltimore. I'll be happy to make a donation in Dexter's name.
My wife and I lost our dog three weeks ago and I know how you feel.
    Take care, Ken

Very sorry to hear of your loss. When you are ready you can honor Dexter's memory by adopting a puppy(or a kitten) that needs a home.

sorry for your loss of your friend. this is one of the reasons we have switched from store bought dog food to our homemade chicken/rice recipe. it's all natural and our dogs only drink 1/4 of the water that they did before!!

I can't find the words to convey how bad I feel about your loss.

I lost my buddy Saturday Oct. 13, 2007 after a 14+ mo fight against lymphoma.
He was my last pet and this is still so today.
Took a very long time to not -daily- feel his presence here in the home.

Two songs helped me "clear the mechanism" enabling me to function
with less distraction. This is well-meant.

    "Goodbye My Friend" Karla Bonoff

"The Very Last Time" Alan Parsons

anyone else have more good such songs?

$hit, I'm cryin' and I didn't even know Dexter. They just get in your hearts. Had 3 of my own (cats) pass in about a year a while back. Worse year of my life. Now we have some new friends in the house. They can't "replace" the old ones but they bring new joy and friendships to your life. :):):) Chris
